Alright, so we've been dangling this update for a minute and since some people presumably look at this site, here it is, in the form of a numbered list, in some particular order:
1.) For much of October we will be joining Secret Chiefs 3 for close to twenty shows in the US and Canada. We don't need to tell you how fucking exciting this is. You already know.

2.) We'll be bringing along a 7" to be released on Mimicry Records. The record will feature new music and some appropriately gorgeous artwork to go along with a bunch of new merch specially made for the tour.
3.) We mentioned this before, but we'll be at The Stone in NYC for a full week in July 2015, bookended by Bill Frissell and Secret Chiefs 3. The format is two unique sets a night for six days, so portions of the week will be stuff that you'll never hear us play again.
In other words, you should take July off and hang around The Stone every day. We'll keep you company.
4.) We're deep in the writing process for the full-length follow-up to Regressions. We know it's been forever, but we won't slack in the interest of expedience and, so far, the material is really exciting. We hope to be in the studio by the spring and have it available by the fall, but we'll keep you abreast of the progress in due time.
If you can make it to a show in October you'll catch a handful of the new tunes live (some of you have already seen a smidge). If not, YouTube.
But c'mon.
5.) Masada! Indeed, we had such a great experience at Town Hall in March that the inimitable John Zorn has asked us to quit fuckin around and adapt an album's worth of selections from Book Three of his sprawling songbook.
We've been digging hard into these already and it's going to be a serious adventure. Look for the album sometime next year, if all goes well.
6.) Our beloved guitarist, Matt Hollenberg, will be joining drum maniac, Kenny Grohowski, as well as the legendary John Medeski on an album of new Zorn compositions. Recording is tentatively slated for fall or winter of this year and the release soon after on Tzadik.
Just damn.
So that's the big stuff that we can guarantee, but look for more dates over the next year, including but not limited to a couple of really exciting possibilities (here's looking at you, Europe), and hopefully some special collaborations and one-offs.
If you're still reading this, THANK YOU TIMES A ZILLION. Your patience with this long-winded babble is a microcosm of your patience with us and support throughout the years, and a big reason we're still having fun doing this. We couldn't be happier about the state of Cleric these days and we can hardly wait to share all this madness with all of you. It's going to be a fucking blast from here on out and we hope to be seeing more of you face-to-face in the coming months and/or years.
