Hi hi! I’ve been hearing a lot about the verity Minecraft mod thing, so I watched it today! I made this lil guy while I watched it. if you want to make it, it’s real quick. just like an hour or so to make it. and if you know how to embroidery it’s easy. if you don’t know how (like me) it’ll take you a frustrating 30 minutes, while you keep talking to yourself. “no it’s fine I don’t need to learn a real stitch I’ll figure it out.” don’t waste your time trying to be independent, just look up the chain stitch, make your life easier.

Anyway, like I said, a chain stich for the mouth. I just did a cluster for the eyes. and the body is full of stuffing, and it’s just a reg ball shape. here’s the pattern I used for that.

Alright guys here are the patterns and tips I promised!

First the pics

Alright guys a few quick things to note

1.) there are lots of Minecraft fuse bead patterns on Pinterest and such because it's blocky so it's like the easiest thing to make a pattern of

2.) qdcrafts has lots of great patterns and videos on assembly for Minecraft fuse bead projects she is where I got the pattern for the dog and chicken and she also inspired the pattern base for the dolls/ people I just redrew the patterns because the pictures online of hers are real grainy so look to those or the ones online for help

3.) some great tools to use are a.) pixilart b.) dot lab and c.) skin seed pixilart is exactly what it sounds like dot lab is really dumbed down and easy to use (also it pixleises pictures for you gives you a grid and color summary) and finally Skinseed is a Minecraft skin app when you find one you like and you go to edit you can view the skin from all sides so it's easier to redraw the skin on your base (I recommend drawing out your base pieces first and then drawing your skin on the available tiles like in my example)

4.) if you want to make objects for your character to hold unless you scale up the character you're going to find that the objects are too big so I recommend looking up "8bit Minecraft objects" they fit better in their hands, and the designs are still cute and get the point across like in the examples I showed and just add either two pixel wide clear beads to fit in the hand hole or the wide diagonally and if you're making something like a sword or pickaxe then just keep it a lil shorter and the handle three wide diagonal

5.) and finally... be creative!!! Think outside the...BLOCKS! Get it?! Seriously though you'll hit a lot of road blocks and mistakes just power through dude and do some fun things like for the cake I redid the top design in dark brown on the bottom so if you flip it it's chocolate cake or for the grass block I put a three wide pixel gap so you can put objects in it Anyways happy crafting if you need any advice feel free ask l'll try to figure it out also I'm gonna make a post about how to make things holographic soon so yeah!

Alright guys what’s up last post I made a Aphmau MCD doll with a few different outfits I’m getting back into fuse beads and as my reintroduction practice I made these dolls with the same outfits of the ones I made previously in my next post I’ll post the patterns I have drawn up with tips on making it so if you want to make it yourself look for that anyway let’s look at the pics

The ladies Irene, pikoro aph, and OG aph

And the doggies! Thorgie, Phoenix, Jiggy, Cookie, and Puma here they are from different angles and you can see the can move their tails and heads

And the chickens Timberly and Cadenza she’s feeding them seeds and her dogs bones and raw chicken!

I made some of the objects holographic buuut… you can’t really tell in the pics so here are a couple so you can see the shine here you can see her diary and the poison potion from Sasha

(Disclaimer yall don’t have to read this it’s not important but I just wanted to say this) I’d like to say thank you to my 5 followers and anyone who liked my posts I know that might sound stupid but seriously though when I had no energy to do anything the only thing that kept me from donating all my stuff was seeing folks actually think I did a good job and although it wasn’t often it made me want to pick up my hook every so often to make a long story short when I was a kid I loved fuse beads and then in like the 6th grade or so I stoped playing with them and then I started getting sick and tired over time but now after like a decade of doing very little of what I love I had a surgery to get rid of my gallbladder and I have more energy then ever and I’m so happy and energetic yay me so now I’m getting back into fuse beads among other things I’m gonna take some pictures of old things I’ve made and finish up some old projects that I’ll post and right now I’m gonna post some pictures of the fuse bead stuff I made mind you this is the first thing I’ve made in general after my surgery and it’s the first fuse bead thing I’ve made in a decade so give me some grace alright thanx<3

I was wondering how you started making your Aphmau doll? Like if you had a pattern or any suggestions on how to start? Hello hello, so I’ve gotten some questions about how I made my doll and I’d love to point you to a handful of patterns that I utilized for the doll and some for the clothes but unfortunately my doll is a Frankenstein of half patterns and a lot of winging it as I go, but I will try my best to gather the information I used and learned to give you the best chance at creating what I did. So…let’s try to do this in order first!

The body:

The body was originally supposed to be completely derived from this pattern: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1809709735/?ref=share_ios_native_control but as I soon learned that would be virtually impossible I don’t want to say the pattern was bad, that would be rude but I sure as hell didn’t understand it and Ive been crocheting for 6 years so if you’re a beginner don’t bother; however I did end up using the pattern as inspiration for the beginnings of the body and head which I do recommend but I ended up winging it later on. I did use her method of buttons and beads for the neck and the joints. The shoulders/the limbs were something that seemed simple but when I tried to do it they kept coming out wonky; that’s why I feel like if your making a pattern and selling it and you’re already using pictures of the process then why not just make a video (like come on) but I digress the pattern I used for the limbs was a very helpful tutorial on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Xu4cjvstYqs?si=igjN2svFS7Rl7iqK for the neck I recommend using pipe cleaners at least at best some thick wire for the stabilization when threading the button through I used string so her head is a lil unstable so that’s the body now the features

Features:

i used extra buttons for her eyes and white thread like the lil specks of reflecting white light in your eye. Aphmau has brown eyes so I felt it was simple enough but if you wanted you could embroider the eyes, get actual button eyes, paint the buttons, or make something out of clay; whatever, the possibility’s are endless. I embroidered the rest of the face and the ears are just a simple lil shell that I sewed on. the hair is a crocheted circle with chained and followed back strands this vid was helpful: https://youtu.be/L6picPgIpe0?si=BCfsbwodjeSnwTIi I just scaled it up. Also, I noticed when I made the hair and pined it down to get ready to sew it, I needed to make more strands then what went around because my girls got a big head so I just added some more underneath. So that’s the features now the clothes.

Clothes:

now this part minus the leaves were winged completely so here’s a vid for the leaves: https://youtu.be/QdMwJyatGMI?si=8zW6K7AZS7ZYe1LT so let’s go over it. everything is mostly blocks and tubes example: the shirt is just a block I measured around her torso, then I made straps based on her arms and then I added clasp buttons so I didn’t have to worry about getting a shirt over her butt and having it fit her torso. The dresses were similar; a block with clasp buttons on top then followed by a tube. Her leather gloves are just a tube with a skipped stitch for a spot for the thumb with a flower added. The shorts were a tube with a separation added at the end for her legs. The overcoat for the purple dress was a block with sleeves and a white chain threaded through for the lace up. I also made separate lil Bubble sleeves for the off the shoulder part for the purple dress. I added a lil lace at the end to make it fancy for the dresses. I expanded on the tubes outwards to make it more flowy and less form fitting. For Irene’s dress, I stuuopped at a point and started going around and back instead of all the way around to create the slit. The boots were just a wider leg that was turned into a block going up with a extra added strip to go in the space where the separation was for the lip of the boot and I threaded a white chain again through the boots for the laces. The shawl for Irene was just a simple block with a decreasing u shape with a gold trim and a clasp button to keep it in place. Then the hats: the baseball cap was just a half shape of a head with a small gap left at the bottom so I could add a line through with a clasp button to make the adjusting part and then in the front I just made a decreasing lip for the bill of the hat then there’s the flower crown which is just a bunch of leaves and flowers which are single connected stitched onto two joined green pipe cleaners annnnd… that’s it really I’ll add some pictures to help visualize what I’m describing if you have any questions let me know I’ll try to help the best I can <3<3<3 ~Sam

Alright if you know me like truly know me you know I’m obsessed with MCD and when I was a kid anything aph related so when I was doing my most recent rewatch of MCD I was also practicing making my first crochet doll and well lets just cut to the chase I made an aphmau doll and made three MCD outfits to go along with her og outfit, her purple lil maiden dress( my fave ), and an Irene outfit and yes I did make a hood for the Irene outfit it was just too big so it’s not in the pics was thinking I should also make a sword but she has so many different ones so I couldn’t decide enough blabbering let’s look at the pics

She a lil funky sure but we still love her

If you saw my last post you know that I crocheted two gifts for my geek cousin for Christmas the last one was a tLoZ keychain and this is a semi movie accurate slytherin scarf this was the best movie picture I could find. Separate note I think there is a separate version of the scarf but I guess this version is for the bigger kids or something and my cousin is an adult so it seems appropriate. He loves Harry Potter and took the Hogwarts house test and he’s a Slytherin.

I used a mix of two patterns one knit and one crochet. And I can’t find either of them but basically I did 30 or so chains and then in rows I did 30green, 3gray, 6green, 3gray, repeat. You can interchange that for whatever other houses colors you so wish.

I am aware that there is a patch in the movie version I even found a solid way to iron one on without burning the yarn however when I went to order it it said it wouldn’t be here on time so…bummer. Regarding other details the frindg at the bottom was made up of the green and gray yarn. Then ,and I’m aware that it’s not movie accurate, I attached little snake charms to the green yarn and lightning bolt charms to the gray yarn. And although it’s not completely accurate to the movie I think it’s a cute touch

Now I never read the Harry Potter books myself so I can’t say but if you’re a Harry Potter fan let me know would you be happy to receive something like this for Christmas?

Crocheted two gifts for my geek cousin this Christmas the first I finished was a key chain inspired by the legend of Zelda.

It looks a little wonky and the sprite came out a bit bigger than expected but I think it’s still cute. The wings keep curling, i think that if I do this again I’ll add wire to the wings to keep them stable. I used a sparkly blue yarn for the body of the sprite because you know fairy’s usually have some sort of particle effect and that’s what it looked like in all the reference photos I’ve seen. There are actual patterns that you can buy for the tLoZ fairy but instead of that I just used a simple sphere shape for the body and a teardrop shape for the wings. I attached a keychain attachment on the top and crocheted a double reinforced sparkly gold thread to the charm heart. Funny story about the heart I saw a post about the tLoZ heart and recognized it as a charm I had gotten in one of those misanalyses jewelry bags. That’s what inspired this project in the first place. And of course I made this because I know he’s a big fan of the breath of the wild game and possibly the others I’m not sure. Anyway if you’re a tLoZ fan let me know would you be happy to get this for Christmas?

Made two scarves as Christmas presents for my cousin and aunt with the most beautiful yarn I’ve ever seen in my life!!! It’s also super soft! It’s ’I love this yarn’ from hobby lobby. The only problem is I live nowhere near a hobby lobby and I couldn’t find this exact yarn on the web so I doubt I’ll see it again anytime soon:( I used a basic double crochet stitch for the whole thing so making the two scarves only took me about 3 days.

Finished my new poncho! It was stupid easy and super quick! only fore squares a three row border and the fringe. And I did all that with LESS then a cone of yarn! Perfect colors for fall. I also added some beads but I don’t totally love them so I might just cut them off… 🥲I’m guna give it to my sister so I hope she enjoys it but I’m making another one for myself soon. Here’s the link to the video tutorial I used. But seriously this was super easy and y’all should try it. And as always suggestions are appreciated!

Just finished my new vest! I didn’t buy the pattern I just copied what I saw. Its very easy I think anyone could do it. It is a bit big on me but that’s just cuz I can’t measure properly😅. Oh well there’s always next time and for my first vest I still like it. Now I just have to figure out what I’ll do next. Suggestions are welcome and appreciated.-Sam

My first sewing/ quilting project finished! Turned out well for previously only sewing buttons. I did this thanks to my moms help and steelemakes tutorial on TikTok. Took me a few weeks but I’m glad it’s done and I think it turned out well. Might wear it to the state fair. Excited!😊 wondering what I should do next. Probably a blanket but what? I’m open to suggestions and or helpful advice/ critiques!
