Some of you may know that I write alternate universes for many things, one of which is a better sequel to Avengers: Age of Ultron. In this sequel, besides Ultron having an adopted daughter, he will eventually gain a wife named Marie, who is a robot like him.
I based this on characters who have officially had a relationship with Ultron (Jocasta and Alkhema).
But more importantly, I'd like to know if you'd like to be her, in case she represents you in this universe.
Yk something that’s always stuck out to me about Ultron is how lonely he is, even if he’s a robot, even if he won’t admit it to himself.
This has been a thing since some of the older comics, like that time Ultron tried to make a wife for himself (Jocasta). Or even Vision being created as his son.
And I’ve always loved this about him and I love how much depth it gives him. But it’s also bringing up thoughts that I haven’t seen many people talk about (at least not yet).
Ultron probably has abandonment issues.
On what level I’m not sure but there’s something about it that speaks to me on such a personal level.
Call me insane but I want to see him quietly beg you to stay. I don’t just mean quiet in a tone of voice. I mean quiet like he keeps doing little things to make you want to stay. To change your mind from a thought he’s convincing himself you have.
He tries to be as attentive as possible for you and your needs. He still works towards his own goals sure, but there are times where he just gets in a mood and everything else seems to be put on hold for you.
He gets protective and vigilant for any threats, whether it be from a person, the environment, or even sickness. He wants to hammer in the idea that he is the safest place to be. Nowhere else matters. I don’t even mean this in a yandere way, but it is similar levels of desperation. He wants to be your home.
But it’s not for you, not really. It’s for him. He needs this more than you do. And he knows it.
Now don’t get me wrong, he won’t verbalize this. He hates doing that. He hates acknowledging how emotional he’s being, how emotionally driven he’s being. Ultron is a character who I think communicates deeper feelings with subtlety… at first.
But we’ve seen how he can get when he snaps. When he’s angry. And more importantly, when he’s desperate.
There will come a time when this mood of his reaches a peak. You try to leave the room, and he firmly says one word:
“Don’t.”
You try to ask why, what’s going on, if everything’s okay. But he just gets… angry?
That’s not the right word. Surely by now, you know what his anger really looks like, and this isn’t it. Something’s wrong, and he’s not gonna break what it is, not yet.
He stops himself from going on some rant. Just sighs, in his own robotic way. He’s refusing to look at you, afraid that if you made eye contact you’d be able to figure it out immediately. Eyes are the window to the soul, and though he has none, you might still be able to see every running wire in his processor.
Before you know it he has you in his arms. It’s near silent in the room outside the whirring of his own gears. Until it isn’t. It’s quiet, almost like he didn’t want you to hear, despite needing you to. And you know he won’t say it again.
He thinks if humans need the existence of God to be good, why doesn't he become their god? After all, religion and God are supposed to bring peace to humanity. It's something he is programmed to do. When he says he built a church on the surface of Earth, he means it. He will the one humanity worship, as he believes his capability rivals someone they call "God".
And if he want a bride, he will make sure they will worship him as well.

Oh, and since I have your attention: z-library (books and textbooks) and sci-hub (gatekept scientific journal articles.) I just ripped a textbook for class off z-library and snatched a required reading from sci-hub. Life is good and education should be accessible at every stage and station of life.

It’s a metasearch engine, so it takes information from whatever providers you select and presents it to you as Google might but without ads or tracking, and you can pick which sources it searches, so you could only search Wikipedia and scihub and worldcat and whatnot by default
