I am trying so hard not to fall apart, but I am scared. Truly scared. In just 4 days, we need to raise $658 for the medication my mother and father depend on. Every night I lie awake thinking about them, wondering what will happen if we cannot get the treatment they need in time.💔

My parents are growing older, and their health is fragile. When I look at them, I don’t see numbers or fundraising goals . I see the two people who gave me everything they had. The people who stayed awake when I was sick, who sacrificed their comfort for mine, who loved me unconditionally every day of my life. Now they need help, and I feel helpless watching them wait for medication that I cannot afford.😔💔

I am not asking for luxury, comfort, or anything extra. I am only asking for a chance to protect my mother and father. A chance to keep them safe. A chance to hear their voices, see their smiles, and have more time with them.

Reminder that shinigami eyes is one of the best tools to have as a trans woman. It helps mark people that are transmisogynistic through community consensus. The green labels don’t mean much but the red labels are accurate most of the time. If anyone is trying to convince you otherwise, they’re a bigot.

My friend Nader recently became an uncle to his newborn baby niece, Masa. Due to the traumatic stress and malnutrition experienced under genocidal conditions, many mothers cannot produce breast-milk. Masa, like tens of thousands of other babies in Gaza, relies on formula to survive. Today, Nader told me that this little girl is in the hospital now due to a severe chest infection. She is only 8 days old. Please help her.

You can absolutely have boundaries about substance use but your friends who use substances know themselves and their needs better than you, and they do not need policing or threats of incarceration. So I've noticed a subtle pattern, and I want to say this because I'm sure people don't intend to be antiblack when they do this, but it is:

Stop telling us that you didn't put effort into your art/creations of Black people

"oh it's just a bad sketch I did to the side" "oh I just didn't feel like drawing his hair this time" "oh I just didn't feel like doing her skin well"

Okay well if you didn't feel like putting effort into your depiction, why are you showing it to us? Why are you TELLING us that you didn't care enough to be thoughtful this go round, while expecting us to still applaud you for your work? Especially if you and I know you're capable? It's insulting.

If you didn't want to draw me, you didn't have to. But you don't have to make it seem like it's excessively difficult, especially if you don't say this about anyone else you draw.

Black viewers of your work deserve to know you cared. I'm not saying every piece has to be the Mona Lisa. But if your character is supposed to have deep skin or curly hair, and you just... Decide that's too hard to do sometimes... Why should I settle for your half effort? Just don't share it 😅 wait until you do care 😅 take your time until it's done 😅

Ive been bad abt updating sorry. Ive been sick since last Friday and early early this morning it took a bad turn and I had to go to the emergency room bc I couldn't breathe. Now I have to use a damn inhaler 😭😭😭😭 another prescription im gonna have to fill. And they said I NEED to see my gastro sooner rather than later. I called yesterday tryna be proactive and made an appt for August 25th but now that the emergency room dr says I need to go sooner I'll call a few times over the next week and see if any sooner openings pop up. Im scared y'all. I rly thought it was the end for me as my wife was giving me the heimlich. It was such a strange feeling. Also ive had such a headache since then wow lmfaoooo. Anyway, what a great way to start the weekend, my upper respiratory infection and GERD combined to choke me almost to death. absolutely a damn mess.

Anyway im back home now but i rly need funds to get the steroids I have to take and my lil rescue inhaler I now have to use i guess at my big age 😭😭😭😭
