The crime scene:

One (1) broken plate in the downstairs office. Possible motive: there was some melted cheese left on the plate which is no longer there. No suspects in immediate vicinity upon investigation.

Suspect One:

Does enjoy slapping things off of high surfaces and watching them hit the floor. Passed polygraph test. Alibi: was sitting in my lap upstairs at the time of the crash. Suspect cleared.

Suspect Two:

A known petty thief with multiple prior arrests for food theft. No alibi for location at time of the crime. Reluctant to make eye contact when questioned. Had melted cheese on nose.
