Traumatized in Ireland While my Family is Facing Death and Starvation in Gaza
Has it become normal Now that the defenseless civilians in Gaza face death and starvation on a daily basis?

I contemplate the happy faces of people around me here in Ireland and reminisce about the happy normal life my family and I had before the war. A life that turned into a distant memory for us and was replaced by an unending series of horrible nightmares.
Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.
People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.
When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.
I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.

Plutarch Heaveansbee, the man who had a huge ass library, and libraries were considered RARE, named them after a book about censorship.
Plutarch is such an interesting character, the fact that he was trying to stop the games for at LEAST 25 years. And he was so devoted it makes you wonder why he even cared.
My interpretation of Plutarchs character in SOTR is that he is a commentary on how freeing education and access to culture really is.
He mentions how reading is a rare pastime in the Capitol, and as Haymitch sugests books are an even rarer. No doubt this is intentional: a population that has been deprived of information, of "dangerous" ideas of social justice and freedom, that is unaware of the mere possibilty of an existence that doesn't involve opression, is easier to control, to manipulate. It makes them more susceptible to propaganda.
Plutarch, however, has an extensive collection of books, no doubt some of the "dangerous" ones aswell. And despite being one of the most privilleged people even within the capitol, he is fighting to desmantle the very system that benefits him.
His access of culture and information give him the rare advantage of different perspectives, and therefore, the freedom of knowing that things don't have to be like this forever.

nasha barridge is the character of all time. she's a firefighter and a security guard and a martial artist. she loves her pathetic ass boyfriend more than anyone. dating two clones at once isn't a dealbreaker for her. she can snap a fascist's neck with her legs while holding onto a rope with her teeth. she breaks down giggling over doodles of stick figures having sex. she starts a riot in the cafeteria to defend her boyfriend from bullies. she's stayed with her boyfriend while he dies more than once. she's compassionate and wise and supportive and also jealous and hotheaded and messy. and she's in space!
I love reading incorrect quotes of my favourite things it makes me wish someone would write a fantasy book with all the drama they usually have but all the characters behave like they're in the office
