there should be more fictional characters who only ever cry when they're frustrated/overstimulated/scared

Character who's never cried on screen before breaking down for the first time but instead of it being a really painful injury its hearing about their estranged mother. Or the loner character growing to care about the friends they didn't want and crying when they're once again alone. Or the genius being faced with a problem they can't solve.
