Literally the entirety of Steven Universe: No one is really 100% good or 100% evil. Sometimes good people do bad things. Sometimes bad people do good things. You might believe that someone’s actions were good but learn that they’re really bad, and vice versa. Everyone deserves a chance to change and grow for the better. Yes, even if they were mean or outright awful on purpose. Yes, even if they take one step forward and two steps back several times. The answer to “Who was right and who was wrong” can absolutely be "There IS no clear answer here”. It’s possible to understand someone’s perspective/motivation while not condoning their actions in the slightest. It’s possible to point out someone’s flaws and wrongdoings without labeling them as an irredeemable monster.
