ok so, I approached my local library with a proposal to donate a mural as a way to A: build portfolio/gain practical experience and B: give back to a beloved public institution. The director was very enthusiastic about it and i've been working on it since the beginning of March. Come with me as I endeavor to paint what is in all honesty an excessive amount of birds
I wanted the birds to look like they were actually in the space so first thing after doing the draft was to do a lighting study
after that I covered the walls in letters in lieu of a projector/vr headset bc i have neither of those :) Then i take a picture of the section of wall and superimpose the lineart over top of it so I can pencil in the lines
et voila
and that was a whole week on it's own so next comes the paintin' >:)
I have learned it is World Otter Day! They're one of my all time favourite animals, so.i wants to share some of the ones I've made over the years.
Fat Horse No. 2
It’s the year of the horse and I’ve always been a horse girl at heart, so I’m finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share I’m sure they’d help you out!
This piece and four others will be available at Furry Weekend Atlanta May 8-10!

video description: looping animated art in an art nouveau inspired style. It shows a nude woman standing in a keyhole shaped frame. Behind their head is a large snowflake. The woman bends down and picks up snow like a piece of cloth, while raising she turns, so now she is with her back to the viewer, then turns again with the cloth around her shoulders. The cloth is almost transparent and floor long. The wind picks up and blows her hair and the cloth forward, then the cloth seems to disintegrate and turn into snow flakes starting at the bottom till she is again completly nude. end video description
After over half a decade, I have concluded the mythological blep series! This isn't a precise order, as there is some uncertainty about who preceded towards the middle, but it's about right. Some of these also got makeovers and tweeks in that time, so what you see here is their final forms.
Started as sketches at Con Bravo, now complete, with that little brown gryphon who debuted at Furnal Equinox 2026.
From top, Lung Style dragon blep, a Quetzalcoatl style winged serpent, a sphinx, a kirin, a unicorn, and finally, the gryphon.
Anyone who has followed me a long time on here, I hope you enjoy this conclusion too! :)
*NSYNC - It’s Gonna Be Me
Saddest thing ever is reading an academic paper about a threatened or declining species where you can tell the author is really trying to come up with ways the animal could hypothetically be useful to humans in a desperate attempt to get someone to care. Nobody gives a shit about the animals that “don’t affect” us and it seriously breaks my heart
“No I can’t come out tonight I’m sobbing about this entomologist’s heartfelt plea for someone to care about an endangered moth”
This is how I learn there's a moth whose tiny caterpillars live exclusively off the old shells of dead tortoises.
[Image description: text from a section titled On Being Endangered: An Afterthought that says:
Realizing that a species is imperiled has broad connotations, given that it tells us something about the plight of nature itself. It reminds us of the need to implement conservation measures and to protect the region of which the species is a part. But aside form the broader picture, species have intrinsic worth and are deserving of preservation. Surely an oddity such as C. vicinella cannot simply be allowed to vanish.
We should speak up on behalf of this little moth, not only because by so doing we would bolster conservation efforts now underway in Florida, [highlighting begins] but because we would be calling attention to the existence of a species that is so infinitely worth knowing. [end highlighting]
But is quaintness all that can be said on behalf of this moth? Does this insect not have hidden value beyond its overt appeal? Does not its silk and glue add, potentially, to its worth? Could these products not be unique in ways that could ultimately prove applicable?
End image description]

I was so inspired by this I made it into a piece of art for a final in one of my courses for storytelling in conservation
Furby and furby gryphon collection post. I've been doing these a few years now, in sketchbook or sculpture or sticker, and I still enjoy them. More to come for sure, I have a big furby soft spot.
I plan to do some kind of Furby Fun pack in the near future for the Etsy shop, like a gryphon, a furby mini, maybe a posca and a sticker or two. Undecided if matching furbs based on existing colours, different colours for each that work nicely together, or going my own way and basing them on birds.
We shall see!
happy easter
these posts are the shit thats gonna get yáll free passes to hell.
I laugh, I post.
Three posca canvases I painted at Furnal Equinox 2026 this past weekend. A Jackalope surrounded by blossoms, a piece I made to complete my Year of the Horse collection, and a tortie version of my 'No No No!' cat.
Jackalope found a home at the show, and I think I'll try more in that style. I like the soft flowers and colours next to the stark black of the cryptid.
No No No was finished in the last two hours, so she didn't get as much a chance to be seen.
I'll do a post about the Horse collection later this week, of 6 pieces, four found their new homes, which is nice!
Posca paint markers on canvas.
Unicorn posting! ✨🦄
Some unicorn sketchbook work, and sculpture from the past few years. Unicorns often represent me trying to push myself past my comfort zone, artistically, and that's something I want to bring into my life more in this year of the horse. Not just in art, but in what I aim for, and how I treat me.
Unicorns, give me strength.
Pencil Crayon on brown sketch paper, and polymer clay.
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are feeling loving and loved.
Pair of dragons I made a few years back that are still some of my favourites. They were designed to pose together, and I was really happy they went to the same home. :)
Polymer Clay. Based on Scorch and Magic.
Happy Friday the 13th, campers!
Jason Vorhees compilation post, enjoy you some Jasons, and have a safe and happy evening. 🏒🔪
Haven't posted art here in a while, despite visiting frequently, so here are some kitties I rediscovered in a 10 year old sketchbook.
I should revisit my old love of micron ink sketches and hatching!
From top - spooked void, space kitty, and alien space kitty.
Micron fine tip pen on sketchbook paper, with fine tip marker for the red.
