The Gift of Abuse...
One day, the Buddha was walking through a village. A young man who was incredibly angry and bitter came up to him and began insulting him. He cursed at the Buddha, mocked his teachings, and called him all kinds of names.
The Buddha did not get angry. He didn't argue back. He just listened quietly and calmly.
This made the young man even angrier. He demanded, "Why don't you say anything? Doesn't my abuse bother you?"
The Buddha smiled and asked the young man a question: "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person chooses not to accept it, to whom does the gift belong?"
The young man was confused but replied, "Well, it belongs to me, because I bought it."
The Buddha nodded and said:
"Exactly. In the same way, I do not accept your anger and your insults. They remain yours. You only hurt yourself."
People who act foolishly are everywhere, but they only have power over your mind if you choose to pick up what they are throwing down...

“The most important day is the day you decide you’re good enough for you. It’s the day you set yourself free.”
— Brittany Josephina
The moment you stop trying to control every outcome is the moment life surprises you. Release your grip, surrender your worries, and trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it should. What's meant for you will never miss you.
