4 years ago when I visited Paris for a few days, it was evident, though I barely spoke the language that there was a lot of racial and religious tension in the country. There’s a lot of discrimination against black Africans and Muslims specifically. It’s been like that for quite a while so I’ve been told. The way brown people and people of “unpopular” religions are oppressed is always a pressure cooker situation. Eventually it will blow. It’s very sad but not surprising at all. Perhaps our prayers, concern, and more importantly ACTION should come before situations like this happen.

South Carolina - Officer / Female Student Assault

First off...are yall really that old and far removed from your high school days that you could possibly part your lips to say something like this could be justified? What if she was your daughter? Let us remember that teenagers are just that...teens, aka, children aka young adults, with attitudes. You dont remember? How many times did I sit in my high school classroom and someone acted up in class and the teacher asked them to head to the principal’s office and they refused or caused a scene on their way out, it’s NORMAL behavior. But that’s where teacher training comes in, do teachers not learn how to diffuse situations like this anymore? And why are police officers even allowed in high schools, is there no more detention or in school suspension? Schools are like jails now, and it’s truly sad. 

What I thought even more sad was the other students in the classroom (especially the boys) NOT reacting and not immediately jumping to her defense but sitting at their desks just observing. Why have our kids become so submissive? I promise if this happened in my high school, a riot would have went down in that classroom. We must be able to stand up for what’s right.

Pregnancy PET PEEVE...I didnt ask for your comments.

During this joyful time in my life as I cook this baby, so many people wanna give their thoughts and opinions. While most are harmless and sweet and come from a good place, I’ve realized my LEAST favorite comment as I’m in my 3rd trimester. Mind you I’m only 32 weeks, almost there, but in my opinion quite a ways to go. Lately I’ve been getting “You ready to pop, that baby is coming soon, dont you want him out now, I know you’re over it”. My answer to all is HELL NO. I want him to stay in there as long as humanly and Godly possibly. This process cannot be rushed and as medical science has proven, the longer they stay in the more developed all those lil bits and parts will be when they reach the outside world. I’m patient, can yall stop rushing my process!

“Another Police Officer Shot...”

So my caucasion male coworker just steps out his office and says “Another police officer shot...”. Apparently one was shot in Chicago moments ago. Not condoning this violence but his statement pretty much sums things up. I’ve never heard him say similarly or at all...”Another black youth, person, woman was shot by an officer”. They dont understand nor do they care and we simply cannot make them, no matter how much we shout. All we got is us. Live accordingly.

Dylann Roof, the mass murderer, was captured alive, probably with no scratches bumps or bruises, the police officer placed his hand on top of his head and gently guided him into the back of the police car. Dylann is probably sitting in a cell, having been fed and will soon be questioned. He will claim his mom didnt love him, his girlfriend cheated on him in 6th grade, no one at his high school liked him, a black guy tripped him in the hallway his senior year and as a result he’s angry and ill and bipolar and suicidal and as a result we should all feel sorry for him, because that’s a great excuse to murder 9 people. Just call Dylann what he was...a RACIST and leave it at that.
