to my 20-year old self
You wonāt believe the journey that awaits you. There will be dark days ahead but none that you cannot conquer. Your work will fill a large part of your adult life. It will be a roller coaster ride but it will be worth it. There are people who will doubt you, who will even make you doubt yourself. But there are those who will believe in you even more than you believe in yourself. Some will stab you when youāre not looking but others will inspire to be the best you can be. Eventually, you will be wiser to know the difference and your resolve to succeed will be much stronger. Success will be arms reach but failure is an experience you will have to go through. Both will make you better, so always do your best. You will meet new friends, outgrow some and itās absolutely okay. The important thing is to keep a few who will stand the test of time. One day you will wake up and realize that the siblings who annoy you everyday will be your bestest friends in this lifetime. That what your mom and dad taught you about studies, love, money, and life are true (most of the time). At some point in your life, your heart will be broken by someone. You will cry and lose sleep but you will get up again, smile again ā- either you fall in love again with someone better or you will be better in loving yourself. And when you reach the point where Iām at, you will look back to see how far youāve come, how life has changed you, how experience taught you lifeās greatest lessons, how people inspired you, and how the best days of your life are still ahead of you.
