anybody who suggests criminalizing homelessness is objectively a piece of shit
a personâs humanity is not determined by how much property they own. property value is not worth more than human lives, and criminalizing homelessness kills people.
FKA twigs is so so important and great!!!

REBELS: LAVERNE COX - NOMINATED BY NATASHA LYONNE
"Laverne stands up for what she believes in and does so with grace and humility,â says her costar and nominator Natasha Lyonne. âShe is one of a kind: a game changer and a maverick who not only expands closed minds but educates them. She is the living embodiment of what she believes in, and the inevitable fallout of that is she inspires others to tell their own truths.â
We use language in various forms from the moment weâre born until the moment we die. To pretend or argue that it has no power, that it canât be used to marginalize and oppress, that it canât be violent, that it canât be used to murder, is either immensely disingenuous, or completely naive.

I think Viola Davis is one of the most slept on actors in the movie business. I canât get enough of her.
Viola Davis as Youâve Never Seen Her Before: Leading Lady!
By AMY WALLACE
âEven when I get the fried-chicken special of the day, I have to dig into it like itâs filet mignon,â Viola Davis said. She was speaking not of meals, but of roles. During her 30-year career as an actress, Davis has played a crack-addicted mother (âAntwone Fisherâ), the mother of an abducted child (âPrisonersâ) and the mother of James Brown (âGet On Upâ). Her characters often serve to âhold up the wallâ of the narrative, she said, like the empathetic best friend in âEat, Pray, Loveâ or the kindly stranger in âExtremely Loud and Incredibly Close.â Or the kindly mental-institution psychiatrist in âItâs Kind of a Funny Story,â the kindly rape-treatment counselor in âTrustâ or the kindly medium in âBeautiful Creatures.â
âI always got the phone call that said: âI have a great project for you. Youâre going to be with, hypothetically, Vanessa Redgrave, Julianne Moore, Annette Bening,â â she said, sitting in the living room of her San Fernando Valley home, barefoot on the couch in a gray T-shirt and leggings, her hair wrapped under a black turban. âThen I get the script, and I have a role that lasts for a page or two.â
Yet over and over again, Davis has made these marginalized characters memorable.
