Unfortunately, Engineers and Scientists don't have brighter futures as Engineers and Scientists in this country. They are undervalued, used and are not supported. Thus, a lot of Filipino Engineers and Scientists with brilliant minds go abroad. Hence, even with the abundance of manpower and natural resources, our technology has not developed that much. Well, I salute the Engineers of DIWATA-1 (the first Philippine microsatellite) for doing their job even if the "compensation" for their works does not really "compensate" for the hard work and sacrifices they've done.
