She could see that he or it wanted to escape but she knew that she just couldn’t let him to do that, not in that form, so before he could do anything, she run where he was and tackled him to stay right on top of him, shifting a bit and making pressure on his neck, not that hard to break it of course but at least hard enough to make him feel pain because something that Scott taught her was like pain make them human so she was going to try that.

It felt that it was being attacked and wanted to escape. It hissed, when it realized it was caught and wasn’t going to be able to get away. Hissing, it still tried to throw the threat off but the pain was getting too strong. Within a blink, it transformed back to the young man it actually was.

A sharp pain in his neck was the first thing Kevin noticed and gasped in response to that. “What-” his voice cracked. He had no idea where he was or what was going on. He noticed the girl - and he also noticed that he wasn’t wearing any clothes at all. “Malia?”

He smiled as he thought of Indigo, “Yeah, she’s pretty amazing… and one of the best friends you could ask for. So, I say go for it.” He really should reach out to her more, get her to hang out and all that. He nodded slowly as he thought of Dayla and Brian, “Yeah… it’s intense, but I’m sure we’ll get on good terms and as for Brian? That’s for me to know and you to… dot, dot dot.” He teased. “And yes, I have been socializing. That’s what normal people do… unless you’re like antisocial or something.” He shrugged and crossed his arms over his chest, “Of course it would. If you were gone, who would flirt shamelessly with me on a day to day basis?”

“If she has your stamp of approval, then she must definitely be worth it,” Kevin teased. “Well, if you think you will end up on good terms then I’m sure it’ll happen. Uh-huh, so you’re keeping this Brian guy a mysterious person then. I can work with that,” he teased back, smirking. “I had gotten the impression that you are not normal,” Kevin joked, “but socializing is definitely something where it’s okay to be normal.” At Alex’ next words, his smirk grew bigger. “I knew you were going to miss my handsome face and wonderful voice. Flirting with you is definitely one of my favorite hobbies, gorgeous.”

Alex bit his lip and looked the other way when Kevin said he deserved a better life here. Of course he did, after everything he’d done to get there. “Thanks, Kevin… I hope all this works out for you too.” He sat in silence for a moment or two before smiling up at Kevin, “So… what did you have planned? Y’know, before coming to smoke here with me.”

“We’ll see about that,” Kevin mumbled. “Honestly? I didn’t really have a specific plan, I just needed to go out for some fresh air. I would have possibly ended up in a bar drinking if I wouldn’t have seen you.” Drinking, he thought wistfully, was something that used to comfort him but ever since he turned it only frustrated him.

“What?..oh…I didn’t see you there..umm..I-I just….I—-I’m not sure. Oh…erm..I had this argument with someone and now I feel really bad and hope they are okay.

She was in the woods, just in case if some supernatural creature wanted to attack or something like that, she didn’t want another dead in this town. So when she started to walk and everything, she just felt a presense there, someone was there, like watching her so she stopped and looked around just in case but no one was there, starting to take another steps to the  direction of the smell, a very but very powerful and familiar scent, she knew who this person was but for some reason it makes her chill a bit because it wasn’t like him, it was like someone else but with his scent.

So when she arrived to her destination, she saw him or part of it, a tail. What was that? However, he was scared, she could feel it and she knew for experience that you don’t need to scared people or supernaturals or they will attack you so she looked at him, yes, she was right, he was Kevin but he wasn’t a werewolf or kitsune or werecoyote, he was something else “K-Kevin? Is that you?” She muttered, trying not to give him a reason to attack her.

It saw movement. Instinctively, it inched further away. This being smelled vaguely familiar. Hearing the voice, it flinched. It could sense the nervousness. Easy target. Somehow it refrained from attacking. It hissed in warning at the creature in front of it. Run. Its mind was set on running away again. Far away. Its tail lashed against the tree, making some noise. It was about to run.

“A good home.” He let out a scoff as he ran his fingers through his hair. “No father figure around, my mother used every dime she could get her hand on for drugs, and I had to raise myself and her at the same time… Not exactly what I would call a good home… I had my moments, but that’s all they were.” He stared off into the distance with a blank expression. He really hated how his life was and how his mother was, but all that’s in the past now. “I think this place can be better than my old home was.”

Kevin didn’t expect that reaction. “Okay, I’ll take that back. Definitely not a good home.” He said and shrugged - being empathic wasn’t one of his strong suits. “At least you had your moments though, that’s better than nothing.” Kevin ignored the memories from his own child- and teenager-hood that tried to resurface. “I really hope that this place can be better for you, then,” he said sincerely. “You deserve it.”

Alex’s features softened a bit as Kevin spoke of why he felt the need to come back. He could understand, somehow Beacon Hills had this sort of… pull that made you not want to leave. He bit down on his lip as he thought, “Well, I’ve got this one friend named Indigo, she’s awesome… an artist, really pretty and smart. Then there’s my cousin Dayla, we’re on friendly terms but I’m not sure we’re actually friends just yet. Uhm, there’s a lot more… This guy named Brian who seems to have a crush on me… and if I honestly go down the list, we’ll be here all night.” He chuckled. “But I’m glad you decided to stay. I don’t think it’d be the same here without you.”

When Kevin spoke about feeling like he needed to be here, he wondered where that inner pull was coming from. “Oh, Indigo?” Kevin asked, an easy smile still on his lips, “I hung out with her once. She seems sweet. I haven’t had the chance yet to really get to know her but maybe I should change that.” He nodded along to Alex’ words. “I’m sure your cousin and you will eventually get there. Sometimes it takes some time. Brian? I don’t think I’ve met him before. Is he as handsome as me?” He asked, teasingly. “Sounds like you were busy socialising!” At the others words, his smile turned more sincere, “Thank you. It’s good to hear that at least someone here thinks it’d be different if I was gone.”

Second Skin [Malia/Kevin]

It was the night of the fullmoon. Kevin was trying to fall asleep in his hotel room but he had an unsettling feeling in his stomach that he just couldn’t get rid of - not even with emptying the rest of his half full bottle of whiskey. So instead, he laid wide awake, forgetting that he could and probably should have let Lydia know that he’s back in town so that she could have chained him up just in case. After a couple of hours of just staring up at the dirty ceiling, having already counted all the little holes in there and not thinking too much about the slightly burnt parts in the ceiling, he finally fell asleep, thinking that maybe everything was going to be alright that night.

Run. Its instict was fully set on running. Its feet carried the creature through the woods, past the trees. Something was missing. It needed to find it. It could hear the branches cracking beneath its feet while he ran aimlessly. Lost. It felt so lost. The wind lashed against its face. It was still running, never slowing down. Suddenly it stilled. It sensed another being. Tilting its head, it turned towards it and dashed their direction. When it got closer, it instinctively hid behind a tree, its tail curling around the stem of that tree and watched, getting ready to attack if it felt threatened.

Ducking his head, he couldn’t help the smirk that played on his lips. Kevin had always seemed to make him feel a little bit more normal in this town. Maybe because they were both new at one point. They did say that they needed to stick together. “I can see that.” Running his fingers through his hair, he shook out the matted parts and fluffed it back down to normal. He nodded slowly as he completely understood, “I’m starting to see this place as home too… and I’ve been good, actually. Finally completely settled in at home, my room looks somewhat decent now, and school’s fine… I’ve even been making a few… friends. How about you, handsome? What made you get on the road only to realize that there was nowhere else to go but here?”

Kevin felt an easy smile curling up his lips. Talking to Alex always felt natural to him and he was surprised at how comfortable he was with him. He nodded along with Alex’ words and shrugged lightly at the questions. “I felt like I needed to get away from here but I couldn’t really get this place and the people here out of my mind. And I sort of feel like, I should be here.” Not to mention that he still had a lot of questions that he needed answers to and Kevin thought that he was only able to get them here. “Tell me about those... friends of yours. Did you meet them at school?” When Kevin thought about Alex settling into his room, he realized that he really needed to find an apartment here as well, since he apparently was intending to stay.

Alex let out a small chuckle and handed the boy his lighter, “Here, light away.” Inhaling a deep drag of the cigarette, he blew out the smoke and looked up to the sky. “Nights like this remind me of how things were back home… when I wasn’t dealing with all the crazy. I’d just sit out on the porch and look up at the sky… daydreaming of how my life could have been. Now I think I finally get that second shot.”

Kevin took the lighter, winking at him and lighting his own cigarette. “Thanks.” He stood still, listening to Alex while breathing the smoke into his lungs and slowly back out again. “It sounds like you had a good home,” Kevin commented, rolling his shoulders lightly to losen his muscles. “You think this place could be what your home used to be?”

“Yeah, yeah… Cancer stick. I know. Just shut up about it, I deserve this.”

Alex had used some of the money from his mother’s death to keep up a motel room in Beacon Hills. It was under the name Victor Delhiem, which was good because it couldn’t be traced back to him or his family. In that small, stuffy motel room he held all of his ‘secret’s. The research on the supernatural that he’d been keeping as well as his family lineage. More on his mother’s side than his fathers, but he was learning that as he went along. 

Exiting the room, he was surprised to find Kevin standing outside. “Well, isn’t this surprising.” He chuckled as he ran his fingers through his hair. “And here I thought you’d left town again… what keeps bringing you back here? Lemme guess. My boy-ish good looks and winning personality?”

The moment Kevin saw Alex in front of him, he couldn’t help but smirk, “That’s me, I’m one big surprise,” he teased, leaning against the wall next to the door. “Your boy-ish good looks and winning personality are definitely the main reasons for me coming back,” he chuckled, winking at him. “Though I do have to say, I kind of started thinking of Beacon Hills as ... home. Which I noticed while I was on the road again.” Kevin shrugged, “How have you been? It’s been too long since I saw your handsome face!”

She was trying to think or well, not to thin so much about those nightmares because was awful. Those weren’t just nightmares, were just memories and remember all those things makes her sick. She was walking on the street, trying to forget and at least trying to breath some air and relax a bit, she needed that, after all, everybody needs a bit of that.

When she was passing an hotel, she stopped because heard a familiar voice, Kevin. Oh, yeah, he left she thought for a moment because haven’t seen him since that incident but something was really off about him, she could tell, something was really but really different “Kevin?” She muttered looking at him “It’s good to see you back”

Kevin was still lost in thought when he heard someone approaching. Before he even saw or heard her, he knew it was Malia. When she started talking, he turned to her, nodding lightly, “Malia. Thank you,” he offered her a small smile. “How have things been?” He didn’t want to tell her why he had left in the first place - or why he had come back, so he tried to stir the conversation into safer areas. He looked at her and noticed that she looked a bit distraught, “Are you alright?”

Long, long way [Open]

The past couple weeks, Kevin had tried to make sense of everything that had happened - he even went on a short roadtrip, leading him away from Beacon Hills, only to find out that he felt drawn back to the town. Not only did he felt an inner pull back but he also still had some questions that needed answers; like him noticing that sometimes he missed a few hours of his memories - he either started sleepwalking or waking up in places where he definitely did not fall asleep was related to the Bite. In the beginning, he tried to reason that it was because of the amount of alcohol he consumed but he had also noticed that he couldn’t really get drunk anymore - which honestly annoyed him more than he would like to admit.

With all of that in mind, he drove back into town, wondering if anything had changed in Beacon Hills while he was gone. He slowed down the car and finally parked it in front of the motel he stayed in before, grabbed his bag and walked towards the entrance. “Here I am again,” he mumbled to himself.
