Going from If We Make It Through The Night (where the Lost Boys are all dead) right into Brother on the cast recording is such a sucker punch because three of them died seeking vengeance against the people who killed their brother
Hearing the Lost Boys sing the lyrics in Brother together gets me really badly because David, Paul, and Dwayne die trying to get revenge for Marko's death and like, yeah, they're all murderers who have lost most of their humanity and they can't just get away with all of the horrible things they've done, but they love each other so much and that's basically what gets them killed
