Alright, I am going to go ahead and give this blog away. If you would like to continue Tidebound, simply reblog this. I will add everyone who does to the members list, pick one to be admin at random, then delete myself from the admin position. If no one replies, well, fuck.
> Author: Regret
Alas, it has become my fell duty to report to you the downfall of Tidebound. It has come to my attention that my professors have once again proven themselves to be fickle beings, and have upped the ante on the schedule I had been operating on. Sadly, the effects of this will be immediate and ruinous to the continuation of Tidebound. For a sense of scale as to just how ruinous, I have been informed that I will have a 10 page single spaced document due every Monday of February. Yes, even this one. This is only one class. Do not fear for my well being, for I can do it, however I cannot do both it and orchestrate Tidebound.
What will this mean for you?
Firstly, I will not be immediately deleting this blog. I will most likely delete all Tidebound posts, as it is an adventure orphaned almost before it began, unless someone requests them to be saved.
After that, I will begin transfering posts over to MSPA Forums under the thread "IAmOfCourse."
Following the completion of this task, there will be a seven day grace period if someone has requested that Tidebound be saved, after which the blog will be deleted, and you can do with Tidebound what you will. Before the blog's deletion, the ask box will remain open for anyone who has questions or requests.

Hmm. The Google Docs thing I’m fine with; makes things easy enough for me.
As for Tidebound… unfortunately, we don’t seem to have much interest in this. If not for the fact that so many characters are required, it probably could have progressed...
I do, of course, agree that interest seems to be flagging, however, I will say this. The response time, while still ponderously slow, is infinitely faster than it was in the ARG. In fact, I am fairly certain that this is the main reason the author has continued as long as he has, despite several unforseen complications; he has been shown that there is genuine interest from more than the 5 or 6 during the ARG.

Now that we are starting to have more character interaction, I have decided it would be easier for everyone involved to hold pesterlogs in googledocs, so that they can quickly be copy/pasted into the submit box. Please sort the details out between yourselves, the author has received a sudden influx of large homework assignments.
Also, if this influx continues for much longer, Tidebound may have to be abandoned due to an inability to be finished before the deadline for completion arrives. The original ARG for which this account was created has been completed, and the current story has not progressed far enough to be unsalvageable by the less pressured of your number. If it comes to that point, the author will hold a giveaway in which the grand prize is mediatorship of Tidebound, and 2nd is mediatorship of Mikhal. Please understand that this is a worst case scenario, and I and the author are only giving you forewarning so that it does not come as a shock, if it indeed happens at all.
Similarly, an explanation for the deadline has been requested. At the beginning of this semester at the local college, the author was given a tentative schedule, outlining when certain assignments would be due. He consulted with me, and it was agreed that Tidebound could progress no further than the 25th of February without impeding his grades significantly.
Just so that I and the author can get a feel of how this news will be taken, please reblog this post with any thoughts or suggestions you may have, so that everyone can consult on this.
Hello! I follow this tumblr since I found it quite interesting, and also because I got a bit addicted to Homestuck recently. I wonder, what should I do if I want to participate as a PC? I mean, I have read the explanations and all and submitted some commands, but I wanna know how much time would be ideal to spend per day on this RP , since my free time is actually limited but seeing as this is going to become more focused on character interaction, it would be a good opportunity to join.
Well, it all depends on where the focus of the story is committed to at the current moment. For instance, some of the other PCs haven't written anything in a week or two, while others have written daily, simply because the focus is on them. At most, you should be able to answer 3-4 commands a day, which equals out to around 500 words tops, and that only if you need to describe events in detail. Sometimes you can get away with only a few dozen. On average, when the focus is on you, you'll have each post be about the length of your ask. When the focus is on someone else, simply maintain your plan for your character, and update it as things unfold. It shouldn't take too much of your time.

Setting the discs on your laptop’s keyboard, you kick your BROOMBALL BROOM off your desk chair and toss your smell purple jersey into the laundry. You smile at the thought of THE BULL, the satire newspaper you are part of and the only social interaction you get anymore that’s live people. The broomball team for the paper was having a losing season - like always - but you guys had fun and that’s all that matters, doesn’t it? You sit at your laptop now and look between the discs as the computer wakes up. Server and Client, eh? Interesting.... You look up again and click open your pesterchum account, mischievousElder. Are any of your friends on right now?

Since you know that it’s all junk mail you would usually just throw in the trash, you let the wind take it to the garage for you and you get out of the freezing breeze. Ah, there we go, nice and warm inside. With the door shut, you go find you pocket knife and tear through the plastic paper mess of the wrap they use for this sorts of packages. Yes, you were correct in thinking it was a CD. A new video game~ Hah hah~ Good times~
Oh, wait. There's two disks.

>Kahini: Go Outside
Mhmm.... you’ve been expecting something anyway... either the cable bill or your rent bill. Grabbing your sweatshirt, one of many random scarves you’ve received over the years and your sneakers, you slip them all on and out the door into the snow. Oh god... it’s worse than you thought it was... And the wind is blowing off the lake too! You whine lightly as you trudge through the snow to the mailboxes. Unlocking your boxes, you grab the thin normal envelops and hey~ A first class one~ You’ve gotten a CD or something~ Maybe a new game? All the other papers though seem to be bills though... nope... just cable bribery... Receipt from your landlord.... Mhmmm~ Walking to the door as you hum, a particularly rough gust of wind blows through and most of the papers are blown from your hand. Except your package.... Do you care right now?
Laurie: Play Game
Luckily, you checked the mail in the morning, avoiding any unnecessary parental conflicts. You insert the disk labeled "Client" into your computer. After a long loading screen, the game starts. You contact your friend to see what to do next.
