nothing makes me feel hope as much as dave malloy musicals. the way he captures mental illness and the decay of one's sense of self are so poignant but the way these characters Rise from that and find hope in love and beauty and the future. the way he writes people as the stars and the world and dust that we scatter amongst the universe
