When it comes to a child’s physical development, engaging in physical activity is essential for the following reasons: Improves heart health, respiratory response, and immune systemPromotes balance, mobility, development of spatial awareness Helps form strong muscles, bones, and connective tissue to aid growth Reduces risk of illnessHelps maintain a healthy body weight, appetite, and sleep schedule (W.H.O., 2020).According to the World Health Organization, physical activity can be defined as a bodily movement/s produced by the skeletal muscles that require a certain amount of energy expenditure. Depending on a child’s age and milestones already achieved, the intensity of the physical activity may vary. Still, when engaging in any level of physical activity, whether of low, moderate, or vigorous-intensity, there will be tremendous benefits gained for a child’s body and mind (W.H.O., 2020).

Is your child ready for a kindergarten? What is school readiness?
School readiness is not just readiness for school. What does school readiness involve?
Self-regulation & careIs he/she is toilet trained (daytime), can open the lunchbox or unwrap the food, and he responds clearly to the instructions at home.
Attention and concentrationFor attending the kindergarten classes, he/she should be able to sit, listen and work on tasks for at least 10 minutes.
Emotional Regulation. We don't expect 4 years old to control emotions completely, however, the child is emotionally ready for school if he can perceive the good and bad feelings, and understand his/her own emotions.
Appropriate social and play skillsHe/she has to display the ability to share and accept shared items, compromise and say sorry when at fault. Teach your child to perform well in a group activity. Tip: try some group activities at home first.
Language and cognitive skillsApart from counting numbers, reading the alphabet, reciting poems, or even dancing activities, your 4-year-old needs to deliver his speech or language in such a way that it can be understood by teachers or peers. What is the main disadvantage of private schools? Right. Tuition fees. Private schools are not Government funded, thus parents have to pay to send a child there. HOWEVER! Do you know that private school tuition fees could be FULLY deductible? Contact us to find out more!
