About Me!

If you are new here: Hi! I'm the 'iamthesilentwriter' shortened to 'TheSilentWriter' (for the people, cause my name's long lol) - changed my mind, call my Silly.

I am the neurodiverse - with a severe case of ADHD, the tism and the all time haterd of spelling one. (like, why)

Fandoms I involve myself in: too many to count. Mostly the Marauders, with a love for PJO, and other random little ones.

My favourite ships of all time include Wolfstar, Jegulus, Jily, Rosekiller, Dorlene, MarLily, Jeguily - there are just too many of them, I've definitely forgotten some to say the least.

My Works

I have a bunch of completed works - and a few ongoing ones. Please, if you ever want to chat about them, or ask questions about them, don't hesitate to do so. (I will set up the thing soon, busy babes over here).

Wolfstar

What I Write

I would say I would consider myself to be a "niche" writer; in terms of like, say, tropes/genres/etc. I typically write whatever comes to mind, never following rules, and always bringing updates (regularly - or, as regular as they can get with study).

Over on AO3, I mostly write Wolfstar, though I am dipping my toes into other ships. I have a tendency to write from Sirius's perspective, though, my earlier works would say otherwise haha.

One Last Thing

Please be nice, I try very hard to write the works I do, and sometimes it's difficult for me to vibe with my own works - motivation be like that.

Also, almost forgot (why? dunno, my brain is constantly burring).

But, JKR? Don't know him. Who would even name their son 'just kidding, rowan' like? That's a bit mean, don't you think?

JKR doesn't exist in my Universe, I need everyone to know that.

Serious note, I really don't support her views, like, generally, I just don't. Trans people are people, and you all are welcome!

💖 What do you like most about your own writing?

Weirdly enough, the way I'm formatting my fics now. I accidentally discovered this layout when writing The Man on the Bench! And, I've never gone back. It's amazing!

📥 What is your fave fic to receive comments/messages on?

Any and all of them! I'm only kidding. It's hard to choose! (I've been asked this question already, so, I've decided to give two answers because I can haha). But, I'd probably say, any of my oneshots. Especially if they were written less than a month ago/more. I don't get many comments on them, and, when the occasional one pops up (very rare, honestly) I get so excited, because, sometimes it feels like I forget I even wrote that fic! If you know what I mean.

🤔 What is the hardest part of writing fic?

Hands down the smut (when it comes up, and, it's been integual for one of my WIPs at the moment - still can't believe this day as come lol). It's horrid. Apparently (and, I'm not kidding when I say this), I can only write smut when it's either cloudy outside, when it's raining, or, at 10PM at night waiting to pick my mother up from work. (And, well, weather here isn't exactly the best. Plus, my mum isn't working right now so...)

It's hard. I still struggle writing it. I read a crap a lot of it so I can, obviously, improve and note down (in my mind) what the balance is. Like, action I can do. But when it comes down to the thoughts/feelings and dialogue. Nope. Can't do. Doesn't feel... right. (The dialogue). As for the feelings, I dunno, it's hard for my head to wrap around what someone would think during that. (I think this gives lots of things about me, away. M'kay. Cool.)

📥 What is your fave fic to receive comments/messages on?

Ummm, do I have to choose? Like, seriously, really? (I'm lucky someone else asked this question to, so, I'll answer it twice (two options, yay!)).

Honestly, hard to choose. But, if forced to pick one out of the 21 works I have, I would say To Find a Home. That fic was the first one I ever wrote, and, it's pretty out there - for a long time (aka, like, for the first good, 25-30 chapters), I was barely getting comments, then boom! Comments. Dunno, getting the occasional comment here and there now it's complete and people aren't as inclined to read it (/aren't interested) getting a comment on that work makes my day!

🏅 What is something you recently felt proud of in regard to your writing (finished a fic, actually planned for once, etc).

Ooo! Good one! I'd like to say my writing has significantly improved. Like, the way I write, what words, the way I try express things, etc. has definitely made me feel proud!

I'll disclose this, but, I have a learning disability that, affects my language, so, my vocabulary isn't very strong - I typically stick to the same five words, and, I hate that, so, I've been googling alternatives. (I go to speech therapy and everything!)

So yeah, to say I'm proud of how far, developmentally-wise, is an understatement.

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

Uhhh, don't know if this'll count, but, one of the WIP-snippets I keep teasing! It's far from written (apart from the last chapter), but, it's like, not going anywhere, so, I think this can count.

The idea is, hmmm, Sirius moves in with James and Regulus (this will be my first "offical" Jegulus fic (main ship Wolfstar)), but, yeah. Reason for Sirius moving in is [redacted] as, ummm, spoilers lol. Sirius meets Remus through, potentially, a house-warming party that James hosts (still don't know how), and, well they get together and, there's a lot more redacted information being put before you.

Anyways, it's umm... gonna be sad. lol. Fair warning.

WIP Wednesday! (It's Thursday, like, 9PM on Thursday)

Okay, so, thank you @poetrypirate for the tag (can't believe you took the ability to tag you away from me, so rude (I'm joking)) (for the record, I have no idea who to tag when I get tagged in this sorta thing so... Roar here has been my go-to).

Anyways, onto a snippet of a work-in-progress. So, this WIP is umm... how do I put this? Still being written (for a lack of better words). And I don't know when it'll be done (I need to yap to SOMEBODY in order to continue the creative process).

But, to say I'm sorta stuck/have almost completed the last Chapter of said fic (I wrote the last chapter, first (it's gonna be edited a wee bit), because I wanted to (I was stuck (and very, very crazy)))

So uh here's an unnamed WIP:

The colour hits Remus square in the chest, hard; Sirius’s hand resting on his cheek feels cold. Too cold. Remus draws in a deep breath, trying to steady himself as he looks down at the man in his arms. Sirius shifts his gaze away from the window, smiling softly, warmly, lovingly. The yellow-gold reflects in his silver eyes, dancing like tiny suns performing an art only they know. The art of love. “Mhmm,” Sirius hums, a faint whistle woven through the sound. “I love you.” Remus smiles back. He’s learned—painfully—to smile for Sirius, even when it hurts. Even when everything inside him is breaking. Sirius deserves smiles. Sirius deserves joy. No matter the heartache Remus feels, Sirius’s happiness will always matter more. He laughs softly, trying to hide the delicate whimper caught in his throat. Then he leans forward and kisses Sirius—lightly at first, lips brushing over his dried, cracked ones—before kissing him properly, firmly, sweetly. “I love you too, Sirius,” Remus breathes against his lips. When he pulls back, Sirius’s eyes are slightly hooded, soft and distant, but content. Remus settles again, lying on his side, both of them facing the window. Sirius’s head rests gently against his shoulder. Remus pulls him closer, knowing—truly knowing—this is it.

*Remus trying to casually lure Sirius to the spot where he’s planning to propose and Sirius keeps dismissing him:

“Hey, love,” Remus says casually, scratching at the back of his neck. “Would you like to go for a walk on the beach?”

Sirius sighs, plastered on the couch. “It’s kinda cold right now, isn’t it?”

“I’ll give you my jumper,” Remus offers, quickly, fidgeting with a velvet box deep in his pocket. “And I’m pretty sure the moon looks pretty.”

“I dunno,” Sirius sighs, grabbing the remote. “I just wanna watch a movie.”

Remus huffs a nervous laugh. “We can just walk for like fifteen minutes?” he says, schooling his features. “Get some fresh air, then come back—”

“Nah, Moony” Sirius sighs, plopping his feet over the coffee table. “My legs are too sore from my morning surf.”

Remus stares down at him, losing his cool as his shaky legs finally become completely numb.

“Stand up you son of a bitch,” he snaps. “We’re going! And that’s final.”

“Jeez,” Sirius rolls his eyes at him, standing up. “Okay, fine!”
