Don’t run the game on the external hard drive. That will generate lag and kill the drive, too. It looks like your computer harddrive is partitioned, but you will need to install the game on the C drive. Maybe just install the base game, plus 1-2 other packs you really like using? That way, you can still play, and build your story saves again, until you can afford a decent computer that runs the game.

i was wondering if 29.1gb would be okay. I think it’ll make the laptop lag. I dunno. I’m not sure tho. The last time I had my game installed, if I’m not mistaken, the base game was installed in the c drive and the eps are in the d. or was it like that? I dunno. I forgot. hehe. But just like what you said, saving for a decent computer would be the best answer. I am terribly missing simming and writing stories but I guess I just have to wait. Thank you so much, kat! hello, everyone!

as you may know, my laptop died months ago(?) and by that, i meant the hard drive went bonkers. so, i lost my 320 gb hard drive with my files and game on it.

I checked my flash drive the shared flash drive with my sister and found out that my sims files are still there! YAY! along with my other files but not all of the files i would have wanted to keep. 

i managed to keep this in the 8gb flash drive: (MODS *tears of joy* )

i am currently planning to install the game in my old laptop which apparently i had fixed. however, my main concern is the new drive in it:

29.1 gb or 45.2gb? would that be enough? i’m afraid he whole laptop would lag if i install the game (plus the EPs.). I just had to go with that small disk space because I need a laptop, like i really do. And as far as my funds are concerned, i can’t afford a good, new one yet. So, in exchange of cheap payment, i had the old lappy fixed with the teeny disk space. At least I can use one for my surfing and all and not rely on my laptop at work HAHAHAHA! At least I can have something to use at home... for a while.

I am currently planning to buy an external hard drive (with 500gb the least). I was wondering if I could have the game installed there. But I’m afraid the EHD would overheat if I install it there and I might end up damaging the EHD.

I dunno... maybe the game can wait until i’m able to save up for a good laptop or computer maybe. *heavy sighing* what do you think?

very...very...very BAD news

Hello, everyone!

I’ve been away for quite a while because of my job. I barely rarely have the weekends nowadays. And whenever I get home, I am knocked down on my bed like a boxer punched me real hard on the face and i go ZZZ.

So, bad news guys, *cries*

My laptop officially died the the other day. I tried saving my files but the one fixing it said that it’s the hard disk that got bonkers and no, I wasn’t able to save even one precious file. I kept that laptop for like 6 years and I was saving up to buy an external drive (was about to buy one this weekend) but BANG! too late. *ugly sobbing*

So, along with my precious files, my game got wiped out, too. Actually, I did save the files in my game in a spare flash drive. All files cozily fit. HOWEVER, i didn’t know my mom took that flash drive and had it used by my younger sister and now, I have no idea if my files are still there. I have this bad feeling that the flash drive is reformatted.

So, for now, I’ll be saving up to buy a new laptop (gaming laptop this time). It’ll be a while. I do swear tho I’ll get my game reinstalled again and if possible, with updated EPs. But seriously tho, I’m still mourning. I utterly miss my laptop, my files, my photos, my game, my game file and all the characters I created with all the effort and time.

So, for now, maybe it’s a temporary bye bye; that is me posting sims stuff. I will still be around (if my work schedule won’t be a pain in the arse), liking and reblogging your stuff.
