Leg Day: The Yoga Way
So I messed up my last post. 😆 This is the real #InnerDrishti Challenge for Day 6: FOCUS. I’ve gained much mental focus and awareness throughout my yoga journey. Even though my focused face may look serious at some times, I have to remember that I shouldn’t only focus on the asana itself. Focusing on breathing as well as your inner thoughts and the environment around you are also important. What amazes me about yoga is the opportunity to improve and tweak even the seemingly simplest of poses. Last wk in class I observed my instructor’s transition from #chaturanga to #updog and it was sooo beautiful and smooth! it inspired me to focus on being present and keeping strong in the pose at all times. It’s always harder than it looks which why I love it!
I love up-dog. When I'm moving from an extended chatturunga, and rising into up-dog, it feels like coming up for air from underwater.
