Walter Mitty changed my life!
I got an email from tumblr a few days ago that said that this blog was 2 years old.
What a waste.
The last photo is bingo. Nothing against bingo. That specific bingo was veggie bingo, where you win fresh veggies. But what is that picture? Why?
I watched Ben Stiller's "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" last night. I had not heard very good reviews of this film. I had only seen one trailer for it, and most times, take what Rotten Tomatoes has to say as fact. They, for the most part, are right on the money. They gave it a 51%, which deems a rotten tomato icon.
But I really like Ben Stiller, so I gave it a shot. And I can see why it isn't rated very highly. It is a pretty serious movie that is acted like a comedy. It had some really great moments, and was very well shot. Also, halfway through it, I had to check IMDB and see if it was shot on film or not. In the movie, they were making a big stink about how Sean Penn's character 'Sean O'Connell' was still shooting on film. So how ironic would it be for a nostalgic movie about the death of media be shot on video. But they came through. All shot on 35mm.
The moral, if that is what you want to call it, of Mitty, was Carpe Diem. But, to also remember what you have right in front of you. You've got to go halfway around the world to see what's been in your pocket this whole time.
Can't see the forest for the trees.
This has been my problem for most of my life. Ooh, shiny thing.
Like a cat chasing a lazer. It is always one good idea after another, but the real winners have follow through.
I scatter. But I about to follow through. This here blog is getting a make over, and I'm going to start posting my images. One a day at minimum. And also apply for photo contests.
So thank you Walter Mitty. You have shown me that even though you are living an amazing life and don't realize it, you can have a crazy awesome adventure, and then get the girl at the end.
So, that is like, my plan now.
