gentrified restaurants with metal barstools and edison lights selling $19 "premium meat" burgers (cheese costs $3.50 extra) are bad but can we PLEASE start addressing the sister restaurant type which is even worse: dessert locations which specialize in absolutely incomprehensible dishes that are always like, some strange take on a waffle or crepe and then 5 scoops of ice cream of varying non-complimentary flavors and then 4 random sauces drenched on top with half a can of whip cream, 32 lbs of sprinkles, and then like 17 random candies or chocolate bars or normal desserts like cookies just stuck in it, and you can tell it costs like $26.99? and their insta page is POPPING OFF
