starting dp in september (current myp student) i’m terrified for tok. every time i think i understand it they throw another curveball.

ok so i would deffo say don't be terrified for tok. it's like one of those things that can sense your fear. if you think you're gonna screw up in that class, you will. BUT

the nice thing about tok is that it's basically philosophy but high school version. there's almost NO wrong answer if you can explain yourself. if you can learn to yap to back up your answer, i think you will be fine :)

hmmm in all seriousness i think it depends on the type of person you are. if you are a procrastinator DO NOT take ib, it's only more torture. but if you're willing to put up with all of the work i think it can be rewarding, esp when you get to college

hi guys!

so i know i've been VERY inactive on this blog but spring/end of junior year has me blocked up i swear 😭 i have my lit io in a week and half, stuff for my chem ia also due as well as studying for finals so im not dead i swear !! just hella busy !! i should be back around june 10th trust

me when my global issue statement isn't too narrow, too broad, doesn't mention a work or person specifically, isn't limited to one culture and makes sense so i feel like i have a shot at getting a good score on my IO

guys im so screwed i have NOTHING done for my ee and its due tmrw (i read my book.)

as an ibmyp student, how bad is ibdp compared to myp :,)

honestly it's not that bad once you get used to it! especially if you've taken a class at the myp level, the dp version of it is honestly just expansion on it. however that being said, the workload is a lot bigger, it's kinda like being shoved in the deep end of a pool and taking your time to find your balance and float. an A in every class always is very unrealistic tho, so you WILL be humbled (as i was). the one good thing about dp tho is that because it's global it's so much easier to find help online!

OH and i almost forgot: part of the reason your workload is so big is because you suddenly have your ee, ias and cas. PLEASE DO NOT procrastinate on any of those i'm begging you it's so bad i have to write my entire ee today i'm screwed.
