K guys, I haveta go for the night. I have to read 60 pages before bed, and IĀ kindaĀ need to go running tomorrow as I have a weigh in with my nutritionist tomorrow night sooooo
Ni ni. I have things drafted. If you wanna do things, come tell me!
The Aesirās gaze met Zeusās without fear, without worry, for what did an invincible god truly need to be cautious over? Let the elder gloat and snarl. Baldr had won Erisās love and the right to kindle a child within her, regardless of her fatherās wishes. Propriety had no say here.
āYet I am close to the one who needs me. What father would I be to leave my pregnant wife simply to return to a realm of feasting?ā
Test the boundaries. Come to know Zeus, for he would still be the grandfather of the child, and it would not do well to leave a meeting until late.
Ā Ā Ā Aesir dared test him, seeming unconcerned Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā with the Kingās narrowed eyes, with the lightning Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā crackling in the air about them. Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Fate is known to him, and King of the gods Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā knows the young buck will not be ended Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā by his hand. That does not mean Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā he must be kind.
Ā Ā Ā Ā āA kinder one. For what will come of this farce you play at? Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Of dutiful, loving family? The day will come when you will fall, Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā when you will be pulled from loving wifeās arms, and ripped Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā from dear childās life. When Ragnarok comes around, Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā you will be unable to resist the call and you will have to leave.ā
The air itself seems charged as King looks upon young buck. Lover of his daughter, Eris. Andāhe now knowsāfather of her unborn child. Lips curl up in smirk that looks more a sneer. Such impudence to not only touch what was once his, but to overstep now and approach him whilst upon throne.
āYou are far from your Pantheon, Baldr of Asgard.āĀ
Ā Ā The air itself tookĀ on a purple hue, the smell Ā Ā Ā Ā of vineyards making the air heady. Head feels light Ā Ā Ā Ā and disoriented at the first waft before the king adjusts, Ā Ā Ā Ā and eyes lash forth like lightning boltĀ to son just arriving.
Ā Ā Ā āDionysus. It is rare to see you removed from festivities Ā Ā Ā Ā and liquor without summons.ā
The King Pays His Daughter a Visit
She boiled on the inside; a raging torrent of fire, lava, and exploding stars melded into a great cataclysm. If one could lay their hand on her now, they would burn their flesh into a marred mass of melted matter. She appeared collected, only narrowing her finely groomed eyelashes over a barbed stare, smirking incredulously as if he had made an impossible joke.Ā
Not a joke that was very much truth, and could occurāit was a weakness in her, the tether that kept her in balance. The risk of losing her twin, her sister, and now the mate she did not expect to ever possess. She had kept her pairing discreet, but knowing how close a visual her Father kept on her actions, even if her Mother and siblings kept it a secret, Ā Zeus would know it. She let complacent bliss cloud the obvious truth. She was freer than the other Gods, but always observed.
"Theoretically, yesā¦I suppose thatās true. Iād be all alone. No one to fuel my hatreds. I suppose Iād be left to destroy as I float along, but with no real need behind it. That puts us both in quite a pickle, doesnāt it Father? One cannot exist without the other, and if one of us was to be destroyed? What a world! I prefer meaningless destructionā¦butā¦what would be left after a time? Even that could bore me as I encompass ALL Chaos, not just evil lawlessness for lawlessnessā sake.ā She hummed and turned from him again, refilling her drink as she steadied herself. He did not know of her baby, or if he did, that was a veiled threat to her. Nevertheless, she took it very seriously.
"Besides, Grandfather isnāt even a real threat anymore. Heās even said that the very indigestion he got from the act in devouring your siblings wasnāt worth the outcome. Iāll bet if he had eaten you, heād have regurgitated you all the same. Stone carving or no." It was a line she shouldnāt have crossed, but her veneer was shaky from the feel of his eyes on her from behind. It was daunting, demeaning, filthy, and made her feel only vengeance for that day. She couldnāt see things so clearly when they were aloneāthe shamed woman, and the helpless youth entwined into one as her Discord blanketed them both in comfort. But one false word or twisted step in the wrong direction, and she knew heād be on her again. She cleared her throat, gulping down the fiery, dark liquid courage, finding her words as insurance for the last infraction. "Uncle is down the bridge from Tartarus. Maybe heāll stop by to see you here?" She reminded him, wearily. "ā¦He senses every God that comes to this plane, Father. Andā¦Mother would come by if she knew you were gone too long, you knowā¦ā A feeble attempt to detain Zeus from anything in his mind that could even resemble his special form of punishment for herā¦She hated how idiotic she became when in the face of this threat. All her massive intelligence stripped away to that of a rambling, 18 year old human girl. As a young, but fully formed adult Goddess, she was tricked into the act. Still too young to be completely formed in mind and maturity, she was taken at a crucial point of her development. And in this momentā¦she relived that ignorance again. She faltered into that place again with him.Ā Dangerously.
Nerve was struck, and struck hard; the king could see it upon his daughterās lilac face. Twisted glee coursed through him, thrill at knowledge that even now, Eris knew just what predicament she was in. To know that any illusion of freedom she had was because he allowed it. And only because his eyes were always upon her, watching and controlling, constricting her at every turn. The cage may have glass walls to see through, but it was still a cage.
She had grown complacent in her time here, finally relaxing and believing herself safe, free. Sweet child, sheād never be free of him. Heād sooner see this little discussion of theirs come true than allow her to believe he would lose control over her.
The child growing inside her has yet to be revealed, though he has his suspicions. Knowledge of her lover, though, has been obtained, but for now the child itself is safe. How much longer that will last, though, cannot be said. He has eyes everywhere, after all.
āA meaningless existence, that would be. Particularly with no hope of producing children,ā he tells her back, eyes roaming over form in lecherous leer. He wonders what new features lie beneath garb, what treasure yet unseen by his lustful eyes, what pleasures yet unsampled.
Ā The flash, quick and merciless as lightning, strikes through his eyes at his words. She knows without doubt that line has been crossed. And he must punish infraction, lest it grow in her mind thought of dissent. That is intolerable, and so action must be taken.
That she all but quakes in terror at what he might do brings smile to lips.
āMy brother is rather preoccupied at the present, seeing his wife away for the six months she must spend with Demeter. Do you think he would waste precious time with beloved wife to see why I venture into his realm? I donāt,ā he practically preens, wild grin spreading across his face. He had given the time of his visit extreme consideration, making certain that no one would interrupt this. āAnd your mother is otherwise occupied. It seems your sister has had an⦠accident which has demanded all of her attention as of late.ā
A hand presses against the small of her back, the first contact theyāve had since his appearance. A shiver of delight runs through him, and he cannot wait to feel her flesh under his, the tight heat as she parts around him. āItās just you and I now.ā
The King Pays His Daughter a Visit
Eris coughed dryly, willing herself not to vomit when she heard him speak so dulcetly. She rarely was caught alone with him, usually Mother, or the court were near. And in some cases as he appeared in the Underworld, Hades would hurry himself, and make his presence surprisingly, albeit thankfully known. Time had passed enough since that dark time ago, and most of the Pantheon and lesser Greek Immortals still did not know of her ordeal. But over the years, a few more were wizened to it, As explanation was needed when Hera spent more time between her daughter and Husband than her other childrenā¦and the constant visits she bid Eris after so many āillnessesā that set nosey immortals wondering why Eris had gained attention from her mother yet again. They all accused her of falsely begging for attention, faking her ills or injury, not knowing Hera was there to oversee her miscarriages.Ā
Secrets in this family remained buried better than the dead, eternal. The warmth that bore into her flesh from steps behind made her skin crawl again, she was about to spin round to present him his glass with a regained sense of confidence. Though in the face of her King, Father,
and ā¦
ā¦well, she put on a flawless mask.Ā But his arm was over her in an instant, lingering before he stood back. She sneered at the table face, suddenly shame and fear giving way to rage. She glared at her reflection in the black marble, her nails streaking violently onto the surface. āYouāre right. For Time to be released, we all would endā¦but as Chaos, I canāt help but glorify such a day.ā She pushed the decanter away, not partaking in alcohol with him here alone with her. She pulled forward the pomegranate juice and plopped a cherry into the glass, garnishing it virginally. She turned to face him with arrogance, toasting the glass upwards in his direction. āThough we all know that Gods may fall to dust, but Chaos is the energy that never burns out. It would be amusing if I were to go on after all of youā¦ā She sipped her cordial carelessly. āOnly speaking in hyperbole and theory, mind you. Notā¦practice.āĀ Better to not push him too far, she must tread carefully.
He watched, eyes sharp and unwavering like those of a predator, as she stood, almost paralyzed. Perhaps at the memory of what had passed between them. A malicious gleam entered his eyes, lips twitching upward in smug glee. To know that even now it still pained her to recall, that the ghost of him still haunted her every moment... That he had that much control over her...Ā
Delicious.
That power was intoxicating, addicting. To know that he had it over her, had such control over her that she still felt the stabs of pain, the sharp confinement of his control, was more pleasing than the memory of her subtle flesh beneath his own. Because if there was one thing Zeus loved more than sex, it was power. Especially over those who could one day threaten his reign.
And yet the one threat that eluded him, that no matter how hard he tried, he could never crush underfoot, was that of his own father. And that thought terrified him, enough so that even the mention of Chronos had him lashing out.
Her words were knives, sharpened so that they pierced directly where he was weakest. She knew of his weakness, and directed her counter attack there, placing each blow perfectly.Ā
His blood was boiling, eyes alight with the very lightning he commanded, ready to smite the girl for daring defy him, even now. But he could not. He knew he could not, and that helplessness made him hateful, vengeful, ruthless.Ā
"Of course," he purred, eyes alight with promise of retribution for her disobedience. "And, theoretically, I suppose when we all perish and you are left alone, you will trulyĀ beĀ alone. No Ares, for he will surely perish. No Enyo, for her tie to survival lies with the mortals. No consort of yours... I do believe his name to be... Pitch? Yes I do think that was it. No, he would fall. And you would be alone. Forever. After all, you cannot conceive," a malicious grin alights his face there, knowing he's stricken her straight in the heart with those words, "and thus there would be nothing but Chaos. Nothing but you. An eternity of loneliness. How miserable that sounds. Theoretically, of course."
"It must be a good time with you smiling upon me like that."
"I have been well. No complaints actually."
"Haven't I taught you better, daughter of mine? It's the ones that smile who you should be most scared of."
"I hear you've been looking for a home off of Olympus?"
"I know she is not approachable, that is why I was coming to you. She is far more likely to listen to you in most matters. Especially ones concerning you brother."
A brow raised. "And just what would you have me brave the lions den for? What has Hades done this time?"
Lady Hekate Seeks Audience with the King
"I had thought to ascertain he was no spawn of yours⦠your lineage has a startling habit of youngest child overthrowing venerable father." She made no audible observance of her thoughts one way or another on the matter.Ā
"You make no secret of your dalliances outside matrimony,oh leader." There was a note of rebuke there, though few would decipher it from her Ā countenance.
His eyes were sharp when they fell upon her once more, a glint of anger there at the reminder. He knew very well of the pattern of succession in their family, how it was he'd come to power, how his father had come to power and so on. "Then it is a good thing I have you looking out for my well-being then, isn't it?" he asked, his tone light, but there was an undercurrent to it, sharp and biting. Respect her, yes. But he was still King, and he expected respect from her as well. She had come to him about this, and he expected her to come to him should another concern arise.
Her disapproval was nothing new, nor was it any concern of his. How he conducted himself was his business. He was the king, and entitled to do as he pleased, regardless of how the others viewed his indiscretions. So long as he continued to rule, to lead them as he had for eons, he would continue to do as he had and indulge. As was his right. "I see no reason to skulk about as if I were ashamed of myself. Do you, M'lady?"
"I assure you, I am in want for naught but to spend time with you," Artemis told him sincerely. Ā She had always preferred to be independent and not ask for much from her father. Ā She knew that he had a lot weighing upon him and had little desire to add to it. Ā "I am doing well. Ā Keeping track of Apollo and his misadventures."
"Artemis, you are not my babysitter," Apollo countered. Ā "I do well enough on my own."
"Need I make a list?" Artemis teased. Ā Apollo rolled his eyes and turned his attentions back to their father.
"Iām doing well as well. Ā Enjoying Miami for a short while."
Of his children, Artemis was one whose incessant pestering he heard very infrequently, so with a nod he accepted her claim. Though he still did not think there could be no other reason to her visit than just a desire to see him. "A task even a goddess as competent as you must struggle with," Zeus chuckled, looking at his daughter with a fond smile before turning to his son.
"Be grateful your sister watches your back, instead of trying to plunge a knife into it," Zeus hummed, raising a warning brow at his son. It was not that Zeus inherently distrusted siblings... well, alright perhaps he did. He was the youngest son, yet he'd gained the birthright. There had been many falling outs with both his brothers over the eons. And he'd much rather Apollo and Artemis not fall into the same habit, lest he be forced to take sides.Ā
"Hello Father."
"You know I donāt like to ask for thingsā¦but I need your help with my mother."Ā
"And just what do you require my assistance for? Demeter is not quite approachable when you are the subject matter."
"Experience, I guess? I havenāt been alive long, and thereās so much to see."
"So you came to the King of the Greeks? Did you think that I am so idle in my time that I would jump at the chance, or do you believe it my sacred mission to assist all children who wander upon my land?"
"Company. Is this a bad time?"
"There is hardly ever a good time, when you are the King...
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Well, not true. There are quite a few good times."
"How have you been, Hebe?"
A Dragon Meets a King
"So, others have been here? Well, I canāt speak for them. Iām just looking for a good bookstore."
"Yes. One by the name ofĀ Kagutsuchi found his way to my realm recently."
"Are the scrolls of your own Pantheon not sufficient?"
The King Pays His Daughter a Visit
She tightened in her belly, and played it cool, her exterior smooth and calm as cream; as if this were a commonplace encounter. And not stirring things in her that made her stomach turn and leap in bounds at the same time. Such a confusing, unimaginable hell to both despise with eternal disgust and pleadingly hope for approval in dreadful unison.Ā
"Oh, the sentence standsāthe same as it always isāeternal, right? Unless Time itself is set free, and we All come crumbling down after.ā She made a covert jab at her father, but laughed it off as the family running jest. Crazy old papa Kronosā¦
She cleared her throat, stilling her form for her father, properly keeping her manners. She made a small awkward movement, and swiftly walked around him, arms crossed plainly at her chest.Ā Something in his manner today warned her that he was not patient enough for her usual humor and childish begging for little things; just as a neglected daughter would a busy parent home from business. "Ohā¦nothing out of the ordinary, Daddā Zeus. Business is as unusual as always for me. Brandy?ā She hurried to the butler table and began to prepare him refreshments, staring into the amber liquid as if it would give her a clue as to why exactly he chose to call on her.
The look on her face made his smirk grow, a thrill going through him. Because after all that had happened, after all this time in banishment, there was still that desire for approval hidden beneath her disgust and hatred. She was still a little girl begging for daddyās praise.
Though, she didnāt look like a little girl, he thought, eyes roaming over her well-endowed form. He could recall the feel of that body writhing beneath him, and he just barely refrained from licking his lips at the memory. Yes, she had been most⦠pleasing.
Eyes snapped back to her face, as swift as lightning, just as deadly too, at the mention of Kronos. Ah, Daddy Dearest. He grimaced internally, but laughed at her jab, the sound hollow. A warning was in his eyes. āThe day Time ran out, everything and everyone we have would fall. We would fall. The world would fall. So itās a good thing that day will never come, yes?ā
He knew not if she was aware how she was pushing her breasts up, putting on a most appetizing display. He turned, watching her wander away, feeling her nervous buzz in the air, and reveled in it. But of course she felt so uneasy. He was the King, and her father. Even the mighty Chaos trembled at his feet.
āI would love a glass,ā he hummed, stepping up behind her, reaching around her to take a glass. Their bodies did not touch, but it was a close thing, and he could feel the warmth of her against him, tantalizing his senses. He could take her. Bend her over the table and lose himself in her once more. He was sure he could. But he didnāt.Ā
Let's talk about 'take your time'
When I say ātake your timeā, what I mean is:
Take. Ā Your. Ā Time.
If you have muse for another thread? You can reply to that.
If you have muse for another character? Ā Guess what; you can reply to that too.
If youāre getting feels for another ship? Ā OMFG. YOU H0R. Ā No, seriously. Ā You can reply to that, lmfao.
If youāre overwhelmed with other threads? Ā Itās okay; seriously. Ā I donāt hate you, I donāt think any less of you. Ā You get to ours when you can.
If you want to drop a thread because youāve lost inspiration with it; same as above. Ā I donāt hate you. Ā Iād rather you told me than fretted and thought omfg sheās gonna hate me when actually, the opposite is true.
Muses can be fickle, fickle things and IĀ shouldnāt have to say this but when dipshits come out with stuff like ātake your time doesnāt mean you can reply to something elseā ā actually, it does with me.
Anybody who plots with me, RPs with me, even talks to me; I love. Ā Dearly. Ā And when they reply I squeal like a mad thing because omg the flawless (seriously).
RPing is meant to be fun, lovelies. Ā Donāt suck the fun out of it by being passive aggressive and a bit of a twat by saying shit things like that.
Take your time means take your time ā itās YOUR character, your blog. Ā You reply to who you want when you want or when youāre ready/have the muse, okay? Ā <3
A Dragon Meets a King
"I'm beginning to wonder what is leading all you Shinto deities to my kingdom as of late."
