Shaping up :)
And, yes, I’m totally using my dance poses as reference :B Don’t judge.

Erik allowed himself a small smile. For the comment had gotten to the other; he was sure of it. …It was something he would never have said; because, he understood the pain all too well. Yet with what Jareth had said first? The Phantom would have not let that slip unaided.
❝Music is simple illumination
compared to your magic,
chére.❞
A pause,
❝But I’m not here to talk of Christine.
Nor of your misfortunes.❞
♪ ♫ ~ An illumination... He liked the sound of that. Music was not an unknown element here. He used it as well. Song and dance were common place, or used to be, before the decay of things. Songs helped ease the children he brought in here from fear and made the Goblins calmer or at least somewhat quieter. But there was quite a difference between the music that he produced and what Erik did. There was something much more enchanting with the phantom.
So much so that he tried to reproduce such things. There was a decent piano in his hidden library here. And a violin within the castle. But still... there was no way to replicate. All the magic in the world couldn't hep him there. He'd come to terms with that some time ago. Music was music and it was all different and unique in it's own ways.
Brushing aside insults and all for an attempt at a more serious conversation, the Goblin King pressed further. "Then what brings you here if you have no interest in tormenting one another? I hardly know what to talk to you about in that case."
It was an attempt at more serious conversation. Not necessarily something successful...
Sir Didymus removed his hat to place it over his chest as he sank to one knee. “I have come, Your Majesty, to turn mineself in. I hast made move against you in aiding a runner to the city’s center. What punishment thou hast seen fit shall be endured.”
♪ ♫ ~ Normally those that disobeyed him were thrown into the bog but if his memory served him correctly Didymus didn't mind the scent of the bog and in doing just that no real punishment would have been inflicted. He needed to think of something else. There were plenty of places you could put traitorous vermin.
"Before I come up with a decision I'd like to hear an explanation for your behavior." Hogknob, or whatever his foul name was, he could understand and Ludo really was an idiot. One the Goblins picked on... but this one. A loyal guardian over the bridge... Truly he never could have seen this one coming.
"Then why would you waste your time pretending?" Regardless of the fact that she was the target of such torment, she did not understand why anyone would go out of their way to harass someone so, especially if there was nothing to be gained. "Do you enjoy making people unhappy?"
♪ ♫ ~ Did he enjoy making people unhappy? What a curious question. He truly didn't know. He supposed his line of work did a little of both. Perhaps in particular cases the scale tipped more towards one side than the other. His very legacy thrive on being a frightening villain so he really didn't pay too much attention to the feelings that were involved.
And how did he feel about doing it all?
He had no idea.
Lacing his fingers behind his back he offered her a faint shrug. "Who can say..." He certainly could not.
"A labyrinth?" The mutter was solely directed at themselves, eyes scanning the weathered walls - the strange moss that grew in every corner. They’d travelled to strange worlds before, but never anything as foreign as this. "The entire world is just one big maze? How th’ hell do y’ find anything?
♪ ♫ ~ "Finding anything has never been a problem for me. I made this place so I know where each stone goes and why it goes there." How the Goblins found their way around he truly didn't know but they managed well enough. "The point is for others not to be able to find their way around. It all works out splendidly at the end of the day." The major point of interest was his Castle beyond the Goblin city. That's where most aimed to be. And it wasn't terribly hard to find if you kept the destination in mind. But children were usually the ones running and children tended to not be all that smart. An adult running through would have a much easier time... save for all the traps and tricks he had littered everywhere.
