 yes.   that   said,   we   don’t   run   pwhl   teams—every   team   in   this   rp   is   nhl-based.

    Q.   ARE   THE   SKELETONS   GENDERED?   ARE   THE   TEAMS   CO-ED?

 no.   all   skeletons   use   neutral   pronouns   by   default.   the   only   exception   is   when   a   skeleton   is   explicitly   written   as   trans   or   nonbinary,   due   to   the   general   lack   of   representation.   we   aren't   gendering   any   teams   or   skeletons.   you   can   assume   all   teams   are   co-ed. 

 for   full   transparency,   nothing   was   backtracked   or   hidden.   a   genuine   misunderstanding   occurred—an   admin   who   isn’t   familiar   with   hockey   got   confused   between   the   pwhl   and   the   nhl.   once   it   was   clarified,   the   correction   was   made   by   an   admin   who   does   know   hockey.

hi  everypony,  i  know  some  people  have  been  waiting  for  this  post.  if  you  were  interested  in  joining  when  ice  burns  (iceburnstv),  our  account  was  terminated.  we’re  assuming  it  was  for  breaking  tos,  as  we  received  an  anon  apologizing  for  reporting  our  account  (???),  and  we  also  had  a  few  posts  flagged  as  mature  content.

i  reached  out  to  tumblr  staff  as  soon  as  it  happened,  but  i  haven’t  received  a  response.  considering  this  happened  to  one  of  my  accounts  a  few  months  ago,  i  sincerely  doubt  i’ll  hear  back  at  all.

so,  where  do  we  go  from  here?

this  might  sound  a  little  silly,  but  i  did  cry  when  i  found  out.  making  this  group  was  tumultuous,  and  even  after  opening—despite  all  the  positive  feedback—the  negativity  never  really  stopped.  honestly,  i’m  choosing  to  take  this  termination  as  a  sign  from  god.  some  of  the  messages  we  received  had  us  concerned  for  not  only  our  safety,  but  potentially  the  safety  of  our  members  as  well.  i  just  want  to  remind  everyone  that  this  is  a  hobby.  it’s  valid  to  call  out  bad-faith  actors  or  genuine  creeps,  but  there  are  also  people  who  just  want  to  roleplay  silly  little  hockey  players.

with  all  that  said,  i  don’t  think  it’s  worth  revamping  the  group  at  the  scale  we  had  it.  my  future  rp  endeavors  are  still  up  in  the  air.  there  is  a  possibility  i  might  bring  ice  burns  (  or  another  group  i  had  )  to  discord  instead  but,  that's  still  being  debated  internally. if you'd like updates on the matter you can follow me @b4yonettas. this blog won't be used further.

out of curiosity, which nhl/pwhl teams (if any) have served as inspirations for each team? besides the ones located in each mentioned city IRL. love what you're doing & can't wait to see more xo

 ★   ˖   ⊹     𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑏𝑜𝑥   .   .   .   tbh   ,   we   didn’t   use   any   existing   teams   as   inspiration.   we   realized   pretty   quickly   that   going   down   that   route   was   just   digging   ourselves   too   deep.   we   could   have   added   more   detail   (   stats,   wins,   losses,   all   of   that   )   but   it   became   a   lot   of   information   to   digest   and,   frankly,   it’s   irrelevant   in   the   grand   scheme   of   a   group   that’s   essentially   a   town   rp   with   hockey   players.
