A lot of people have been very against the Kriselle Knight theory, and tbh I understand in some senses bc there is arguably a lot of holes in it, but I’ve seen a lot of people act as if it’s impossible and that Dess Knight is the only possible conclusion and that it’s stupid to think of any other option when there is just as many holes in that especially with the new developments in chapter 5 kinda alluding to the fact that the Knight has been around since before Dess’ disappearance (not saying everyone has said this bc like- that’s stupid and that isn’t what’s happening) and this makes me want to root for kriselle knight more. So I’m putting my money on Kriselle Knight. That is all

honestly, I am so intrigued by your platonic yandere flowers au and honestly, I can’t wait to see where it goes but I like the fact that the au is decently realistic at least with how Flowery is characterised

Like instead of latching onto Asgore he latches on Kris because they’re the ones taking care of them here and latches on HARD even harder than he did with Asgore in cannon

(and it kind of makes me wonder if the flowers HEARD Asgore say he was thinking of throwing them out and that’s why he’s latched on so hard tbh)

(his behaviour also low-key reminds me a bit more of Flowey’s more obsessive traits was well but that’s a rant for another day)

But a hundred percent the flowers heard Asgore. As loving as they are, if you dont love them back, they can only go so far. I wasn't exactly going for Flowy, but I think doing so would be fun with my narrative. I wanna at least reference Undertale a little. :p

My Current Framework for Making The IOPR Universe Make Sense:

(based on the theory that it was actually the space stations that disappeared from the world)

The Quiet Rapture: A God from an alternate dimension peaked into the world, and took a bunch of space stations to it's own universe, leaving behind a variety of anomalies. This created a time warp that had to be filled in with years of a false history for humans to comprehend the sudden change in their perceived reality.

Astrophage | Anomaly 1: The virus that destroyed all of the stars in the Raptureverse bled into the main world and began eating the suns there.

Backrooms | Anomaly 2: A labyrinth that formed in the location of the god breeching the main universe, and it latches onto the memories of the people inside because otherwise it is incomprehensible. Also yes, it disobeys the laws of time and space because location means something different to this God.

One Wish Willow | Anomaly 3: The alternate God accidentally ripped out a bunch of trees with it, and had to replace them with replicas, resulting in willow trees capable of defining reality.

(Room for other anomalies if someone wants to add another franchise to this universe)

Iron lung/obsession/phm: Being denied your own humanity for the benefit of others; being used. Or, a central Character just wants to live, be free, and be human, and is denied this.

Also I’d shift Iron Lung/Obsession to: A central character forced into a shell of themselves so they can be what someone else wants.

(Simon Iron Lung is repeatedly shown to be a good person in a bad situation, he actively has compassion, seeks to fix his mistakes, and wants to be better. (He apologizes to a console for hitting it in frustration, constantly asks after the health of people he accidentally irradiated. Apologizes to them even more. Actively did not want to kill people.) The situation is the horror here.

(Bear Obsession is repeatedly shown to have no interest in compassion or improving himself, and is completely fine with utterly dehumanizing and using Nikki so long as he gets what he wants. (Access to her body/attention) Even when shes begging him to kill her or to just let her go, because she has no control over her own body anymore and just wants to be free, he doesn’t care.) Bear is the horror here.

Also I think the specter that possessed Nikki miiight count as an otherworldly entity. Its less Literal, though. ‘Spose clarifying that its a literal otherworldly thing might help too LOL

Backrooms/phm/obsession: The damage that other people did to central characters is for them to deal with for the rest of their lives, and they had no say in it. There’s no undoing what was done.

It is objectively hilarious to think about the fact that Simon, Nikki and Mary all end their movies covered in blood and with completely altered perceptions of reality because magic is real I guess and I can't trust anyone actually, meanwhile Grace lives in a beach villa with his best friend visiting him every day, still teaching classes. Grace ends the movie surprisingly well-adjusted and everyone else is a final girl (+Simon, honorary final girl) that actually still doesn't get to be free. Like, these three have all killed people/creatures. Grace adopting three horror movie final girls is just objectively kind of a hilarious AU.
