the thing is some people still walk around the world thinking that hating taylor swift is a virtue that makes them morally better than anyone who doesn't dislike her. they act like it's activism to bitch about her on social media. of course there is much criticism to be had and discussed surrounding her, but it's honestly worrying how fast some leftists will fall for an obvious smear campaign designed to divide the left just because it's a way to knock taylor swift and her fans down a peg and appear more woke than her horde of hysterical minions. and people falling for it and parroting the ridiculous (planted) stories about her merch being a nazi dogwhistle and whatever else also discredits the actual issues there are to address with her and any other celebrities. you're all becoming the boy who cried wolf nazi and the farther you reach for things you say with such conviction, the less likely everyone on the left is to be taken seriously when bringing up actual instances of the rise of fascism.
