                                    handyman has lost his entertainment, rocky hidden within the walls of the castle, careful to keep a distance from the sounds of the living. he sits, as he often does, in silence, his back is to his creator, unaware. gaze distant as he watches rain through the window with more than some curiosity, some longing sadness clinched deep within heart so lovingly gifted to him. does some part of him remember the rain ? fat droplets against his face, cool water running down his arms. how easily thy adam could hold the world upon his shoulders. he is quick to flinch when gloved hands graze tanned skin, ( for who would not flinch when touched by a god ! ) fingers brush face of sculpted marble just below gemstone eyes, like collecting raindrops. he clings to small comforts. tilts face further into creator’s touch, lashes meet cheek as eyes fall closed, rocky finds home in the gentle caress, lips grace palm with a tenderness perhaps unexpected of muscleman. he knows not to express the horrors he has been forced to endure. so he remains in silence, wraps arms around lover, tugs him close, presses face to corset and holds himself there, only for a moment, before melancholy eyes turn upwards, fragile smile twitches at the corner of his lips, and hopes the good doctor can translate his expression. thank you, i love you.

i’m not saying rocky relies heavily on nonverbal forms of communication a majority of the time, but uh, rocky relies heavily on nonverbal forms of communication a majority of the time. he ( almost always. ) fully understands when he is being spoken to, or what someone is saying to him, but over fifty percent of the time he won’t know how to properly respond, ( if someone were patient enough to teach him, he could learn. ) and will instead show his response in the form of physical affection, or general sounds.
