Maybe itās just not popping up in my feed or search results but Iām honestly a little disappointed in my fellow peacemaker fans after this last episode,?? Like donāt get me wrong I LOVE Adrian too he is baby girl but it feels like you guys are kind of turning this new season into the Adrian show. Yes, Chris has treated him poorly this season. But Adrian isnāt crying bc he wasnāt fucking mentioned in the letter heās crying bc his friend pretty much killed himself. It has been made incredibly clear this whole season everyone in the friend group is going through it since the events of s1. But we are shown from the beginning Chris isnāt just having a hard time, he is deeply depressed and actively self destructing. Visiting this new universe was a metaphor for suicidal ideation. Going to that world and closing his ONLY way to his home and leaving his friends a note saying goodbye was a metaphor for suicide. Depressed suicidal people often isolate from their closest friends and sometimes arenāt very nice to them. Thatās just the reality. Yall are acting like Chris is some abusive neglectful monster to Adrian when this is new behavior for them. We are shown in s1 Chris DOES view Adrian as a best friend, that he does care about his wellbeing and safety. The fact that everyone seems to be so focused on Adrian and is missing the very real story about mental health struggles that James Gunn is trying to tell with this season is really concerning to me. And again, maybe itās just not making its way to my feed and Iām not seeing it in my search results but I can hardly find anything actually discussing whatās happening this season especially after this last episode.
