My 6 year old son Jacob and I went to another Drawing Social last night. These are a couple drawings from that event. This group featured Stanley Schumacher on trombone and voice, Jason Smeltzer on theremin, Doug Smith on string bass, and Valerie Kuehne on cello.

BY: ANDREW KELLER Andrew Keller, CEO of agency CP+B, recently sent an email screed to all staff, intended as a call-to-action of sorts--for the agency and for the industry. In it, he outlined, at length, the state of the brand world and his forecast for where things were headed, talking about brands and agencies changing culture, about social media as a behavior rather than a medium, about content creation, and just generally creating a brand that was fit for the modern era. An edited version of the email appears here. http://www.cpbgroup.com

Possibly the last word and drawing on the topic of the Right Brain/Left Brain kerfuffle.
Rest in Peace, Neil Armstrong
Buzz Aldrin took this picture of Neil Armstrong in the cabin after the completion of the first EVA. This is the face of the first man to set foot on the Moon, just hours earlier, on July 20th, 1969.
Neil Armstrong was a quiet self-described nerdy engineer who became a global hero when as a steely-nerved pilot he made “one giant leap for mankind” with a small step on to the moon. The modest man who had people on Earth entranced and awed from almost a quarter million miles away has died. He was 82.
IBM Study: CEOs Say Creativity and Managing Complexity Are Vital Today
Creativity is the most important leadership quality, according to CEOs. Standouts practice and encourage experimentation and innovation throughout their organizations. Creative leaders expect to make deeper business model changes to realize their strategies. To succeed, they take more calculated risks, find new ideas, and keep innovation in how they lead and communicate.

Scientists have developed a new material six times lighter than air that can support something 40,000 times its own weight. Researchers hope to exploit these properties to make light-weight batteries for electric cars.
Called aerographit, the material is both lightweight and electrically conductive, which means it could be used to create micro-batteries that are much lighter than any battery that currently exists now. This, in turn, would allow electric cars and e-bikes to function more efficiently because of their reduced weight. More.
