Some tutorials that I’ve come across, organized both for my own viewing pleasure and to hopefully assist others as well. I update this list whenever I come across new, helpful pieces.

A mouth-watering fuck-ton of gun references.

Before you draw any gun, be absolutely certain you are familiar with the parts of a gun. That sounds cliché and dumb, but if you end up wondering “Why does this thing look so shitty?” it’s probably ‘cause you don’t know how a gun works. Know how it moves and what fits in where. And please know where the hands are placed when firing!!! If you hold a gun at the wrong place, you can lose a finger! Also know where the head will be positioned. The person will be looking down the barrel to line up the sights (the two protruding thingies at the top that help you pinpoint your target). Don’t know enough about guns, let alone what type to utilize? Here (the Glock and the “Frag Nade” are mixed up):

How to draw folds

Notes on how to draw folds back when I was teaching manga classes back in 2006. From the book “Drawing people” by Barbara Bradley.

This book has a very detailed description of 6 types of commonly seen folds and I think is one of the most educational resource on how to draw folds(Besides Vilppu and Bridgeman).

The Story Teller...

The center character is Glyde, another character I've been working on in another story and setting I've been trying to build up. He, and his entire race, are gifted with extraordinary powers that vary in use and strength for individual to individual and Glyde is an exceptional one himself. The children like to hear him tell stories while his friends plays music for them. I'm hoping I'll expand more on this world soon. Done for the Heart of Texas Comic Con in Waco, Tx last weekend!

And Then There Was a Wacky Chase Scene...

My character (possible id to my ego), Captain Random, being chased by another character of mine, Albert Grimm, and his horde of mustachioed mechanical minions. Who knows why. Perhaps Random foiled Albert's plans? Maybe he stole some top secret information? Called him fat? Any of these are possibilities that, while varying in likeliness, are all entirely viable options.

Here's how this has been going so far. Once I figure out exactly how I want the background (you have no idea how many versions I've scrapped) I'll be done with this and can move on to other images.

Even when I finish this, I won't be uploading the final image until March, so that I can show off the finished product first a the HOT Comic Con in Waco, Tx on March 8th & 9th

Hopefully it will be a huge success so we can have more of them.
