we'll meet again, maybe not in person, but in everything you and i loved
re: tswift inviting an ice detention center contractor to her wedding, i think it’s incredibly bizarre how many swifties have reposted information/criticisms of her about that and then gone on to immediately follow it up by posting celebratory pictures and gif sets and words of congratulations on her and her fuck ass maga-apologist husband’s wedding. it’s one thing to criticize an artist you’re a fan of because they’ve done or said something a little off-color and you’re hoping they’ll do better, it’s another to be perfectly comfortable with engaging in fandom behavior over somebody who is at minimum complicit or “neutral” on modern-day fascism while also pretending to care about that issue yourself
so sorry but i simply don’t believe you actually give a fuck about the people being abused in those detention centers whatsoever if you’re prioritizing your fondness of an ultra-wealthy white celebrity over their well-being
the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

“how many times are you going to listen to that song” until the void in my heart is filled
we live a world where one man is a trillionaire while people are starving in gaza and sudan, 81 million people are below poverty line in india, kids are being forced to do manual labour in mines in congo to survive and his own countrymen are dying because they cannot afford healthcare and then people will wonder why we think capitalism is the root of all evil
and you’ll do it again. and again.
My toxic trait is that no matter what I need three hours to myself at the end of the day to do absolutely nothing.
