i have to advise against getting into vtmb2 and fabien bcs anytime you think about a detective in any noir after that you will go "you're not even fabien laguna 🙄 why should i care" like thats normal.

One of the things that makes me unwell about Phyre/Fabien is how strong and alluring Phyre is. They are a living legend, an Elder, a nuclear bomb in comparison to other Seattle kindred and yet they genuinely, desparetely want Fabien; the one people belittled, called rude names and ridiculed for years despite his talents and kindness. Almost everyone in the kindred society of Seattle with some expectations act like Fabien is a liability, a mistake. Then this foreign Elder comes and they see how brilliant and kind Fabien is. They listen his conspiracy theories and never mock him for his shortcomings or dismiss him. They choose that weird detective and I think it is beautiful.
