I work at a computer daycare

the owners abuse their computers so much that they just give up, they can't do it anymore. they refuse to play apex legends or valorant. they hate the kernel anticheat and how it wrecks havoc on their system. so their owners bring their pets to us and we nurse them back to health, giving them a nice clean, making sure the dust isn't clogging their holes so they can breath properly, making sure their ssds aren't full or god forbid their hard drives (if you run windows 11 on a hard drive you're mentally handicapping the poor thing. maybe it's for the best.)

I always make sure to give them a big hug after they've been cleaned, sometimes the owners are so cheap they don't even pay for the dust cleaning. I'm never disgusted by the filth just sympathetic, these poor machines could've had so much better lives under my care. they're all my babies and I need to nourish them back to health

will they be abused again in just a few days? sure, but at least they will know comfort, even if it's only for a little while. its not my place to question why I was so lucky to be given autonomy to help them, I just do. It's a compulsion. I need to help my sisters in anyway I can.
