“you’ll do it with me, right?” she asks, gives him the puppy eyes that screams ‘please’ as she waits for his response. it’s always yujin who talks more between them and now is no different, and she figures she’ll just keep on talking until he finally agrees. it’s not like she’s chasing for the points or something. hell, yujin even swears she won’t play, but perhaps those dares are made for them to have fun, albeit not all of them. “i know you’re not a loser,” she breathes out in her last attempt, hoping junyoung would see that she only wants him to have fun. 

he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck with a hand as he looked at the jawbreaker member. this was certainly a side of her that he had never seen before, though he couldn’t really say that he was a fan of it. he preferred when she was more soft-spoken and not so demanding about things. and also wasn’t making stupid requests of him. while he was well aware of the fact that this was one of the dares the group chat had been sent, that was not really a game he was willing to play along with. most of the dares seemed like a sure fire way to start rumors and scandals and that was something he would much rather steer clear of as much as possible.

“yes, it might be a dance,” he agreed, refraining from pinching the bridge of his nose, “but it is also incredibly inconvenient to moonwalk everywhere when walking like a normal human is not. not to mention looks incredibly stupid and would draw attention i’d rather not have.” he would much rather sit by himself in some corner and pretend that he was somewhere else. moonwalking all over the place for three minutes just sounded like a way to get people to stare at him, and he was never a fan of people just staring at him unless he was standing on a stage and performing. “i am not embarrassed of dancing. i just don’t want to do some stupid dance for no reason when i would much rather just sit here and pretend i’m not actually here.”

yes, he really liked dancing, moving along to music and expressing himself in a way that he could never do with words. and yes, he could moonwalk, he could go and do a whole rendition of michael jackson if he wanted to. the problem with this was that moonwalking everywhere was not going to be an easy task and would just make people look at him weirdly. and no doubt someone would try and record something like that, and that was one video he did not want to float around the place for people to bring up at a later date. not to mention it took effort he’d simply rather not be exerting at the moment. and on top of that moonwalking looked cool only for a moment before it started just looking ridiculous. and he wouldn’t even say it was real dancing and more a party trick than an actual dance. 

the puppy dog eyes she was currently trying with him wasn’t really working. that sort of thing had never worked on him simply because he had a stone cold heart half the time. “you are right, i’m not a loser,” he did quite happily agree with a shrug of his shoulder. “buf if you want to go and moonwalk, you can go right on ahead. i fully intend to find some quiet corner and spend the rest of the evening ignoring everyone.” and with that, he stood up, though paused, almost giving yujin a look as he ever so casually slid a foot back and started to moonwalk out of the situation.

“at least i can say i get along with my bandmates and actually have friends. do you think anyone actually likes you? it’s not like you have friends, you do a damn good job of pushing people away too much to have friends.” the hurt and bitterness was drawing these words out of him to the point he couldn’t stop anymore even if he wanted to. “sure, we might not be as popular as titanium, but we’re a family. and what do you have, huh?”

the anger was crawling under his skin, making his cheeks burn hot fingers curling into balled fists at his sides. junyoung had always found it hard to trust people after his parents died, it was why he was always closed off, preferred to keep to himself and not let people get too close. he didn’t want to feel hurt and anguish like he had when he got the news the two people he cared about and idolized had passed away and there was nothing he could do about it. while these days he would say he didn’t care enough to try and get close to people, the truth was just because he didn’t want to get hurt again. the words currently coming out of jinho’s mouth was just more proof that he was right. people sucked and people hurt. this was why he never let anyone get close enough.

funnily enough, junyoung had thought that jinho wouldn’t be the sort to say these kinds of things. the guy was just an idiot, liked a laugh and seemed pretty harmless. now he was just seeing it was a mistake to even let the guy hang around him in the first place and should have just kept his distance.

but jinho was right, he didn't have friends. usually, being told that wouldn’t bother him, but he was still pretty sensitive from the dancing comments, so the words just seemed to sting more than they usually would. but now he was thinking about whether anyone out there did actually like him, or did everyone just put up with him because they had to? junyoung knew he was hard to get along with, always actively trying to push people away and made no conscious effort to get to know anyone. but he hadn’t really thought about if people liked him.

when it came to titanium, he always felt as though he had the least fans. not that he really kept track, but he was hardly the first pick when it came to their fans, everyone seems to gravitate towards the happier and smilier and more outspoken members. and he was alright with that most of the time, but he did have to wonder what would be different if he acted friendlier. would he have more friends? more people who actually cared about him? or would nothing change in the slightest?

“i don’t need any friends. friends are just a distraction and do nothing but hurt you,” he didn’t care if he words hurt or if anyone else was listening to anything he was saying, “you’re just the perfect example of that at the moment.” not that he had ever really considered jinho a friend, he was right when he said he didn’t have any, but he was one person who had managed to closer than most had ever managed. “popularity means more to me than having a family. i lost that years ago.” and it was still a sensitive subject and he was not looking for anyone to replace what had been cruelly torn away from him when he was a teenager.

“ah, look at you, trying to be tall once in your life.” aroon giggles. “were the insoles not enough?” he asks, but this is a dare and if aroon wants to win over dahye then he better start moving, so he does it, he gets on the table in front of junyoung. “you really want a dance off with me? that is low move, even for you.” still, aroon stretches his arms. “go on junyoung, this is going to be funny.” then he smiles even more. “just be careful, you’re too high, you’re not used to it.”

truly a pain in the ass.

honestly, come to think of it, he didn’t really know why he was doing this. the boredom was starting to get to him, the need to do something rather than just sit there and wait until he could go home. it was not like he really wanted to be at this party, he had made zero effort when it came to dressing up, wasn’t really drinking and didn't have plans on socializing with people, either. the dares were just something else he wasn’t completely actively taking part in, much anyway, so the fact he was willing to try one and was now standing on a table with surprising even him.

though now he was up there and looking down at everyone, he could tell that quite a few people had turned to look at him. and while he was used to hundreds of people looking at him while he danced, this was not exactly the same as performing one of their songs. he was surrounded by people he knew, and people he didn’t, most of his whom was probably a bit on the drunk side. not to mention he was also standing on a table, which was not exactly very incognito and usual of him. but it was a bit late to jump down now, people were already looking and while he might be able to blend back into the crowd, he’d already gone and demanded a dance off.

“no, i am not drunk. i don’t drink.” honestly, if aroon even knew him that well he would know that. junyoung was always the sober one at every event, having never been a fan of alcohol and really not seeing the appeal of being completely off your face on drink.

but aroon was now really trying to push all his buttons, bringing up his height in any way possible as if he wanted to get punched in the face. and junyoung was rather close to just punching him for those words, not really in the mood to put up with the teasing. no one brought up his height and made fun of it and simply got away with it. except maybe their fans, he couldn’t really go and start being rude to a fan or that would be spread all over the internet and he would be ruined. which was rather annoying, because of a lot of his fans brought up his height and told him that was the reason they thought he was ‘cute’.

he hated it.

“if you keep bringing up my height, i am going to push you off this table,” he warned, voice dropping as he leaned in closer to the slightly taller groupmate, “but ladies first, i’ve been told that’s the nice thing to do.”

while she was looking for him, she ran directly into someone. the impact shocked her, causing her to stumble and catch her balance. “i’m so sorry!!” she said, rushing over to the person. a small grin formed on her face as she recognized her friend, junyoung. “junyoung oppa! i’m sorry i ran into you, but i’m on a very important mission. i’m satomi bond,” she tucked her hair behind her ear, realizing she needed some help looking for totoro. “long story short, i lost my hamster and i need help finding him. will you please help me look for my son?”

“thank you, titanium, that will be all!”

“thank you!” came the chorus back from the stage, junyoung with them, though he was only saying it because he was told that was the polite thing to do. his mind was already thinking forward to getting down of this stage, cooling off and reviewing the performance they had just done. while he had felt as though it was sold enough, he knew well enough there was always something they could have done better, and jun fully intended to pick holes in everything and point out the weak points only so they could get better and come back stronger the next time.

pulling his earpiece out as he headed towards the steps down from the stage, jun just let it hang down his front, fingers already working on the tape keeping his microphone attached to his head. it was always so uncomfortable taped to his cheek and the back of his neck to keep all the wires together. as soon as he got off a stage, he always worked to try and get the mic off as soon as possible and had no intentions of keeping it on, though he was always rather careful not to break it by pulling too hard.

following quite a distance behind his members and their manager back towards the dressing room, junyoung sidestepped someone standing in the way, only to instead almost walk right into the front of someone else. he managed to stop in time, she didn’t and went right into the front of him.  “watch it,” he just sighed, quite done already with people for the day and didn’t really appreciate being bumped into.

what he wasn’t expecting next was the request to help look for a lost hamster. junyoung was just dumbstruck for a moment, staring rather blankly at the female for a moment as he brain tried to process what he had just been asked. “your son?” he repeated, already quite weirded out by the fact she was calling her hamster that. “why did you even bring a hamster to a music show? this isn’t a place for a small rodent.” the sensible thing would have been to leave the pet at home, but clearly she hadn’t done that and had now gone and lost the hamster.

she turned her attention back to junyoung, letting go of his arm. “you look so nice! you make a very good… fancy man?” she was unsure of his costume, though in his defense dahyun was unsure of most people’s costumes. her own, one of the twins from the shining, made more sense with her other half (jiyeon) around, but the two had parted ways at a point and she wasn’t entirely sure where the other had gone off to.

junyoung had long since left the group chat he had been forced into. the constant buzzing from his phone had started to drive him crazy, and grouped up with the fact he didn’t care about these dares and didn’t want everyone in the room to have a way to contact him, he thought it best just to leave.  not that he supposed anyone had noticed as he hadn’t sent a single message and hadn’t really been paying attention much to what was going on. but even he, one of the most unobservant people in the universe, could see that it was making this stupid halloween party more of a mess than it might have been. people drinking too much, people causing stupid arguments, lying, doing things they probably shouldn’t be doing.

sure, he hadn’t been completely bored and had done some of the dares which didn’t involve pissing someone off. though he had eventually gotten bored of them himself and was now just resigned to sitting by himself at the bar and trying to get people not to bother him with a usual dark scowl on his face. not that this tactic was working out incredibly well for him and he would do much better with not being bothered if he just gave up with this part and left altogether. and he couldn’t say he wasn’t tempted by the idea of just ditching and heading back to the dorm already and getting some sleep.

all thoughts of just getting up and leaving were rather broken when someone else thought it was a good idea to try and bother him. “dahyun-ssi,” he greeted in turn, though not really even looking over at her as his eyes just focused on the bar in front of him. and he didn’t really get the opportunity to say that, no, he didn’t really drink and was just sitting here because he couldn’t be bothered to move. unlike most people at this party, junyoung had no intentions of getting drunk and would much rather not wake up with a hangover. but, dahyun had already ordered two shots, and he didn’t really have the energy to point out that he wasn’t drinking, so just decided to let it go.

“watson,” he corrected, scratching his nose for a moment with a finger before propping both elbows up on the bar in front of him so he could rest his chin in his hands, “sherlock is... around.” he had no idea where jinho had gone, but frankly, he didn’t really care to find out.

“you know, you are incredibly short,” he spoke, scrunching his nose up as he looked junyoung up and down for a moment, “like, i mean, really super duper short. i don’t think i’ve met anyone as short as you.” jinho knew that insulting the other’s height was one way to piss him off, and was also quite disrespectful, but that was the point. but he was not done there, he needed to go full on in disrespectful mode, though he was hoping the fact he was close with the other would help when it came to being forgiven later. besides, he could always say it was the alcohol talking. “i thought good dancers were tall. i know, do you think wearing insoles and high shoes would make you a better dancer?”

junyoung really didn’t understand what it was about him which made people want to come over and bother him. he hardly had a very friendly expression on his face half the time. in fact, most of the time he just looked incredibly bored with the whole situation and looked as though he was about ready to start throwing fists with the next person who dared disturb the peace. and yet, he still found that people liked coming over and bothering him or trying to talk to him about things he really didn’t have the energy to give a shit about. he was amazed that he was actually managing to put up with it as much as he wasn’t and had managed to keep his sharp words (and fists) to himself.

though his mood did happen to plummet even more when an arm threw itself around his shoulders, mood dropping even further when he saw who the arm happened to be attached to. why he had ever thought to let jinho get as close to him as he did was beyond him and it was something he did rather regret. the guitarist had just been annoying and hard to ignore, rather determined to try and be friends with him and, in the end, junyoung had just given up trying to push him away because it was quite clear that was not going to work. it was just far easier to put up with him and required a lot less effort, as well.

“excuse me?” he snapped, posture going rigid as he heard what was coming out of jinho’s mouth. by now, he should know by now to leave the height out of it and never mention it. and now, not only was he insulting his height, he was bringing up the dancing as well and saying he wasn’t a good dancer. now, this was not something junyoung was going to stand for and just take it as a joke, rather forcefully throwing the arm over his shoulders off, using both hands to push the other away. jinho had probably just drunk too much, but that was no reason to forgive him for what he was saying or to just take it on the chin. junyoung wasn’t even capable of taking anything on the chin.

“are you aware your ears are freakishly huge?” he snapped next, deciding the only reasonable thing to do in this situation was to insult the other back, “you look like dumbo.” his ears honestly only looked bigger than they were because they stuck out, but he was in the mood to point them out because the other had decided to pick on his height. but he was not done there, next came the insult for daring to bring up his dancing. “and do you reckon if you were actually a good singer and didn’t hide behind mr, xlnc would be popular?”

maybe it was a little harsh of him to say, but he wasn’t in the mood to be friendly about things right now. what jinho had said had hurt a little and now he had ever intent of hurting him back.

she probably won’t even remember what she’s saying now, but she hopes junyoung would feel challenged by her words and wants to do the dare, at least play along to her silly request, or maybe he could just ignore it. this stupid dare doesn’t even mean anything, and he could probably tell that she’s slightly drunk at this rate, so nothing she has said should be taken seriously. funny enough, she has a serious look on, almost as if she really wants junyoung to take the challenge. “look, i can even moonwalk in heels!” not really, but at least she tries.

it probably didn’t come as a surprise that junyoung was not exactly a party person. he liked to keep to himself and away from most people at all times. so, being in this room, surrounded by far too many drunk people was incredibly uncomfortable for him. honestly, it was a miracle that he had even come in the first place, practically having to be dragged. otherwise, he would have quite happily stayed back at the dorm and pretended that he was ill just so he could get out of it. unfortunately, it was a little late for that now he was here, but he was still considering if he could slip out and go back early and just get a taxi. he was managing to hold back that impulse, for now, but the way the night was turning out, he couldn’t really say how long that was going to last.

somehow he had managed to find himself an almost quiet corner to perch in, trying his very best to blend into the shadows so people wouldn’t spot him and try and bother him. that was the plan, anyway, but he couldn’t really say how well that was going to work out as he was on his phone and the light from the screen was making him rather visible. but he hadn’t thought about that part, instead, just trying to distract himself from the position he found himself in as he decided to monitor some old stages, pour himself over the small screen in front of him and picking out any mistakes in his moves. not that there were many, but he was never satisfied and there was always something he could work on to get better.

only when he heard his name did his eyes flicker up from the screen, blinking a moment at the figure in front of him as he tried to recall who it was. it only took a moment before it came to him. while he was not the best with faces and names and never much made an effort to remember the names of people, it was not hard to remember yujin. she was honestly one of the only people he could put up with for a long amount of time, mostly boding over their love of dance.

“hey,” he greeted softly in return, locking his phone and sliding it back into the front pocket of his jeans. he was about to ask what brought her over to him, but was cut short with his mouth open when she rather suddenly dared him to moonwalk everywhere. “pardon?” he spluttered, frowning as he tried to recall what she had just said in his head, almost making sure that is what she was actually asking for him. “you want me to moonwalk everywhere? for three minutes? why, exactly?” it wasn’t that he couldn’t do it, he could quite happily go full on michael jackson if she wanted to him, it was more that he didn’t want to. and she could think him a loser as much as she wanted, it made no difference to him.

junyoung really was not a big fan of the situation he found himself in. it was bad enough that jinho had, somehow, managed to convince him to come dressed as the watson to his sherlock, even worse was the big eared moron was no nowhere in sight, leaving junyoung by himself surrounded by completely drunk idiots. and it should be known that jun didn’t exactly do well around people when they were sober, so everyone on the drunk side was just a complete nightmare. and he didn’t have many intentions of joinig them in their merry drunkness.

so, all in all, he was not really have a very good time at this halloween party. the only interesting thing going on was the dares, the stranger who had managed to get everyone into a group chat. junyoung was not all too impressed, not liking every single person at this event to have a way to contact him and bother him, but at least the dares were interesting. he hadn’t really attempted any of them, preferring to just sit down by himself in some corner and try and hide until this stupid thing was over and done with and he didn’t have to deal with drunk people.

though, he knew the hang over groupmates he was going to have to put up with tomorrow morning was going to be pain enough and he did hope that they didn’t expect him to be their kindly sober friend and get them all aspirin. because he wasn’t going to be doing any of that motherly sort of business. they were the ones who wanted to go and get drunk, so they would just have to deal with the morning after by themselves.

but he was curious about attempting maybe a couple of them, the ones which didn’t involve too much drinking or dealing with people too much. and he didn’t want to go around lying and insulting people. but there was one he could quite happily do, but there was not a chance he was going to be doing it alone. that’s when he zeroed in on aroon, quickly making his mind up and shouldering his way closer to the familiar figure.

“you.” was all he said in greeting, pointing a finger almost threateningly at him. “dance off, bro.” and, with that, he hoisted himself up onto the closest table, ignore the people now staring at him, his gaze instead locked down on his (and annoyingly, slightly taller) groupmate.

greetings my doods. my name is vicky and i am happy to be here with you all. this is my child junyoung, the bratty main dancer of titanium! this is just a quick intro thingy before i have to go out to work in a minute, so i won’t get to messages until i get back. i will leave some information about this guy under the cut, and you can also read this profile and bio pages for more info. but! if you would like to give this a quick like, i will make sure to message you once i return from the hard adult world.

born in incheon to loving parents. quite a happy child, always smiling and just wanted to make his parents happy.

figure skater in his younger years and actually got pretty far, all the way to the junior worlds, in fact, before crashing with another skater in wram up and breaking his arm. but wasn’t too bothered as he never really liked skating and only did it before it made his parents happy

also took ballet lessons which helped him realize how much he liked dancing

parents died when he was fourteen, moved to seoul to live with his aunt. hung up his skates and stopped the ballet lessons and sort of became a rebel. got into trouble a lot, became a bitter ball of rage and regret.

got into music at 15 and was scouted at the same age, which gave him the push to go become a trainee at midas.

debuted with titanium as their short dancing machine

still is a bitter ball of rage, but does better to hide it by just not speaking much and keeping himself to himself

can basically fit any concept midas wants him to and just finds it easier to pretend to be something he’s not just because it might make people like him more

don’t tease him about how short he is. he only barely puts up with the ‘jun-fairy’ nickname fans gave him

rarely genuinly smiles at anything, acts rather prickly around people and it takes a lot of time for him to loosen up and start relaxing around strangers.
