what if i’m a little in love with everyone what then!
Christian: How about this Saturday? Christian: Honestly probably Apple or Google. Christian: Ooh that's freaky. Christian: Honestly both options would suck. Like would I be able to think my own thoughts while hearing yours or would my new thoughts automatically go to you?
june: this saturday works for me 🙂↕️ june: yeah, you’re right. probably either of those two june: okay that might actually be worse june: now there’s a new problem because there are my thoughts and also your thoughts in one brain june: does that mean we have telepathy then? june: we can talk using our minds since we hear each other’s thoughts june: imagine not having to text or call and just say it in your head to talk to someone june: pretty cool and scary i guess june: how are you supposed to decline the thoughts? can you even stop the thoughts from reaching the other person? june: so much to think about
who: frankie & vada ( @k1tschs )
where: frankies apartment
as frankie turned away from the customer, she rolled her eyes. she had spent the last five minutes arguing with a man about the price of one of the items in store. she was completely at the end of her tether. as the man left, she turned to vada, " he said he'll be back later and i need to 'sort my attitude'. you wanna deal with him, then? " frankie wasn't one to curb the way she spoke to people. she had never been able to hide how she felt - it was always written across her face. she wasn't about to change things just because a man had told her to do so.
maybe if she hadn’t been so distracted flirting with the hot tourist that came into the store a few minutes ago, vada would’ve noticed what was happening and intervened before the man could even think about coming back. " absolutely not, " she tells frankie, a grimace pulling at her features. " who the fuck does he think he is? if that man has the fucking nerve to come back in here, i’ll personally kick his ass out. " wouldn't be the first time she's done it, and definitely won't be the last. fuck that ‘ customer is always right ’ bullshit. vada has never been the type to tolerate rude people just because they’re customers anyway. " did you at least tell him to fuck off? "
Rivan smirked as he noticed her pursual and made no effort to hid his own stare as he slid into the stool next to her. "Well that depends..." He said as he leaned in even closer, his hand tracing patterns on her thigh. "How good are your rubbing skills? I may need an example before giving up your next wish."
vada keeps her gaze fixed on rivan as he closes the distance, refusing to let on how much his touch affects her despite the shiver that runs down her spine. she couldn't give in that easily, after all. a low chuckle slips from her lips. " oh, you want me to touch you so bad, " she drawls, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. " well, that depends . . . where exactly do you want me to rub? " she tilts her head, feigning innocence as she takes a slow sip of her drink, watching him over the rim of the glass. " you got a particular spot in mind, or do i have to figure that out myself? "
manicured fingernails tap incessantly against the table as her knee shakes under it. gwyn knows she looks crazy, so she tries her best to still, but then she's pinching at the tattooed skin around her ring finger and the other knee begins to shake. “i saw him at the park a few weeks ago, with a little girl who called him dad.” she can feel her cheeks warm, and that is almost more mortifying than the reason she's blushing. “i know you don't have to be married to have kids. but.” she huffs, hands collapsing back to the table top as she rolls her eyes at herself. “we dated. this is me snooping.”
vada might not always know when to be serious, but she’d like to think she knows gwyn well enough to notice when something is bothering her. the more she talks, the more it all starts to make sense. a smile slowly creeps across her face as she leans in, gently taking gwyn’s hands in hers. " well, is it any better that he’s not married but has kids? " an attempt to lighten the mood, though she quickly realizes it probably won’t do much to help. still, her thumbs absentmindedly brush over gwyn's knuckles. " i didn’t know he had a kid either, so i’m just as surprised as you. " she wishes she had more to offer, but she doesn’t really know much about blue’s personal life beyond what she’s seen at the taproom. " want me to go snoop? " she suddenly asks, a teasing smile tugging at her lips. " i’m always over at his bar anyway. he’d never suspect a thing. "
"You better believe it. I'm tough." She said, holding up her fists before dropping them, resting a hand on Vada's knee. She listened thoughtfully, letting her roommate get all her thoughts out. "I don't think it's that weird. Most people strive for a feeling of peace and happiness. Why do you think you're so content? Like what's happened recently that made you feel good?" Tabby asked, her own feelings of discontent sitting quietly in the background of her mind. "Maybe. Maybe you've caught some rare rapidly spreading but undetectable disease. Or maybe you're already dead, maybe you're a ghost. That's why you're feeling peaceful, because you're floating in the afterlife. Maybe you've been a ghost this. whole. time! Like Bruce Willis!"
she laughs, leaning her head against tabby’s shoulder. " i know you are. " it’s not often she lets people see this softer side of her, but living together means tabby gets to see the parts of her she usually keeps tucked away. there’s something about tabby’s presence that feels comforting, and she appreciates her asking, even if vada never really knows what to say when it comes to her own emotions. " i guess i’m not most people then, " she mutters, staring down at the beer can in her hand. peace and happiness. now that she thinks about it, she’s never really sought either of those things. maybe that’s why she doesn’t know what to do when they finally come around. " i don’t know. performing at the open mic really made me happy. me and the girls are working on some new stuff for the band . . . kinda feels like i’m finding myself again, you know? " the words leave a smile on her lips, a rare moment of honesty that’s quickly followed by another laugh at tabby’s words. " you’re telling me i’ve actually been dead this whole fucking time? fuck! how did i not know? " she turns to tabby again, a playful smile tugging at her mouth. " so what now? we gotta find my hot dead body somewhere out there so i can finally move on? "
"only factual reviews are taken seriously, but i admire your commitment," still smiling, just in case any other customers are peering in on the conversation. the last thing he needed was to give her bad reviews any foundation, willing to at least keep appearances up, even if the words they exchanged were biting. he's not sure if she'll order anything, or if his energy would be wasted on her throwing it away immediately, but the thought is placed to the back of his mind as he presses both palms into the small counter behind the window. "THEY DO," he nods curtly, "and you could too, if you opened your heart. did you want to order something ?"
it isn’t like she’s going out of her way to ruin his business. vada has much better things to do and she doesn’t hate marco enough to go that far. not that she hates him at all, just his food. " was my review not factual? i was just stating facts, and the fact is your food is not good. " a shrug follows, nonchalant. maybe it’s just not her cup of tea. she's only tried it once after all, and she’s not surprised there are people who actually enjoy his food. makes sense why he’s still around. at his question, she tilts her head, lips pursed as she thinks it over. she wasn't really going to order anything but . . . " do you know gwyn? gwyn bianchi? has she ever ordered anything from you? " then a beat. " maybe i’ll try whatever she got. see if that’ll open my heart. "

having waved kai and brett off to do… whatever it is they were planning to do with their days, lux had stayed behind to work on some of her sets – an extra vocal track there, a breakdown shift here, a perfect cross-fade to keep the crowd moving… before she knew it, her slot in the studio had long since passed, and she was only pulled from her trance-like state by the sound of the studio door handle rattling. ❛ shit. ❜ she muttered, pulling her headphones off and dumping them onto the desk before she quickly moved to unlock the door, pulling it open to reveal… ❛ vada. ❜ said with surprise, wide-eyed look as salma's comments flooded her mind again, embarassment forcing a crimson blush to her cheeks. ❛ sorry, i was just leaving, i didn't– ❜ turns away from the other to rush back to her belongings, practically yanking the charging cable from her macbook as she began to gather it all up. ❛ i lost track of time, i'll be out of here soon. ❜

did she come at the wrong time? she’s pretty sure she’s already a few minutes late, and while she could’ve easily checked if the other studio was available, she likes this one better for some reason. one hand is halfway raised to knock when the door suddenly swings open, revealing lux on the other side. a brief flicker of surprise flashes across her expression before she smiles. " hey, " she greets, only for lux to turn around and immediately start gathering her things. as difficult as she can be, vada isn’t going to start a fight over a few extra minutes in the studio. especially not with lux. still, a small part of her can’t help but feel like something is off with how quickly lux is trying to leave. " oh no, it’s okay, babe. take your time. " she steps inside, eyes following lux as she moves around the room. wonders if she’s trying to avoid running into cleo, just in case they’re having a band session. what else could it be? " it’s just me today, though. you can stay if you want. " not that she expects lux to take her up on it, but she offers anyway. she wouldn’t mind the company.

he takes another sip of his milkshake, suddenly wishing he'd gone for chocolate instead of strawberry. he's a creature of habit, typically very decisive. can only assume they've done something different today. " anyway . . . in the spirit of keeping a little healthy competition alive, i think you should choose our next challenge. "
a wicked grin slowly spreads across her lips at his words. " you sure? " she asks, the wheels already turning in her head. he really shouldn’t trust her with that much power. as she tries to come up with the worst possible challenge they could do, her gaze drops to the milkshake he’s sipping, then to her own, and an idea sparks. " how many milkshakes can you survive before the brain freeze takes you out? " definitely a terrible idea, but that’s never really stopped the two of them before. it'd be fun to see who cracks first. survival of the fittest and all. or rather, survival of the milkshakes. " no time limit. you just keep drinking. whoever taps out first loses. "
Dakota was sure her head would fly off with the sheer heat of the dagger she was throwing Bellamy's way. "You're going to have to call doordash or uber. We're busy and you're interrupting." She said trying to telepathically tell him to read the room and to go away. Dakota was going to have to meet up with Vada at her place from then on.
@fxdedmoon
“I can’t find my phone,” he pouted. No one cared about his problem nearly enough right now. "Damn, hoes before bros. I see how it is... Wait, no, that's mean." He paused for a beat, then stood on his tippy toes to address Vada again. "I don't think you're a hoe! I just like the rhyme!"
@k1tschs
maybe she shouldn’t be enjoying this as much as she is, but she’d be lying if she said dakota choosing her over her own roommate didn’t make her feel a little smug. " well, you heard her. we’re busy and you’re interrupting, " she repeats to bellamy, more than happy to rub it in. his next words don't even faze her. not that he's entirely wrong. if anything, vada has always been unapologetic about her sex life. " okay? nobody gives a fuck what you think. i don’t. now if you’ll excuse us, i’ve got some whoring to do with your roommate. " @ilovethismood
starter: vada ( @k1tschs ) location: amor studios
cleo's learnt enough about vada over the last few months to know asking for advice from her is probably not the best thing she can do for her love life, but she also knows very few people can hype her up the same way her bandmate can. "vada, can I... how do I... how do you know if you like someone?" it feels so insane to say as someone who was so close to being married, but that's precisely why she can't trust her own feelings anymore. "what's the biggest sign for you personally that you're catching feelings?"
for once, she’s stumped. doesn’t know how to react, let alone what to say. " i don’t know? " is all she can really offer because, honestly, she doesn’t. the thing is, vada never really saw the signs. the feelings just fucking hit her one day and the moment she feels that urge to self-sabotage, that’s when she knows. not that she’d ever admit that to anyone. " the only feelings i’ve been catching are the very inappropriate ones . . . i think we both know how that shit works. " knows that isn’t the kind of feelings cleo was asking about, so she shrugs it off. a knowing smile forms as vada leans closer, like she already has it figured out. " is there something you wanna tell me, cleo? do you like someone? "
💛 ― for @k1tschs w. vada ( closed starter )
not knowing vada long, enzo was still happy to make a new friend. although, he didn't expect their friendship to turn out this way. even while being surrounded by trouble, he didn't normally look for trouble, unlike vada. she may have convinced him to tag along, but there was still uncertainty about the idea. pressing his eyebrows pressed together, he let a moment of silence pass before turning to her. “are you really sure about this? what if we get caught?”
sure, vada could’ve called someone else. someone more likely to go along with her bad idea without a second thought, but enzo was the first person to pick up, and now they’re pulling up to bay state gas. an exaggerated sigh escapes her as she looks over at enzo, like he’s already ruining the fun. " we’re not gonna get caught, " she says, tone full of confidence. " i’ll distract the cashier, you grab the six-pack, and you walk right back out. easy. just don’t run, okay? don’t run. that’s how we get caught. " her eyes flick toward the 24-hour convenience store, that familiar spark of trouble already lighting up her expression as she gives enzo a moment to process their little scheme. " come on, we gotta move. "
her eyes roll, purely out of habit. " i was. " gestures vaguely towards the door, vape still in hand. " then you walked in. " usual bite still resides in her tone, but the corner of her mouth tugs into a smirk of half-amusement. because at this point, she's not even mad — she never really was. she's simply grown used to latching onto anything she can think of to keep people at a safe distance. " have you seen the smoking area ? " she raises a brow, finally making eye contact with vada in the mirror. " it's just a bunch of guys standing around trying to act mysterious. " she takes another hit of her vape, exhaling with a low sigh. " i'll pass. " a pause, head tilting. " what are you hiding out from, or did you really just come in here to wash your hands ? "
lips twitch with amusement, not even surprised that stevie would say something like that. " my bad, " she says, though her tone makes it clear she isn’t sorry in the slightest for interrupting stevie's alone time. if anything, she's kinda glad she did. " didn’t know i still had that much of an effect on you. " at the question that follows, her gaze flicks up to stevie’s reflection in the mirror as she shuts off the tap. doesn’t answer right away. vada grabs a handful of paper towels, taking her sweet time drying her hands before casually tossing them into the trash. only then does she turn to face stevie, leaning back against the sink with her arms crossed. " no, stevie. i fucking followed you in here. is that what you want me to say? " the words come out a little sharper this time, like she’s trying to get a rise out of stevie.
Who: Peter & Vada ( @k1tschs ) Where: Lois & Found
“Hey--” Peter smiled over the top of the large cardboard box in his arms, maneuvering it carefully onto the counter, trying to make sure he didn’t hit anything or anyone. A corner dug sharply into his side as he managed it. “--oof. There we go.” He smiled as he patted the side of the box gently. “I cleaned out my garage and all the closets in my apartment this weekend. Isn’t it funny how you can accumulate all this stuff and then forget about it?” He peered into the box. “There’s some clothes that don’t fit anymore. You guys take t-shirts and stuff, right? Or is that more a Goodwill sort of thing?”
it isn’t exactly a rare sight. people bring in hefty donations all the time, but that doesn’t stop vada from throwing out a sarcastic remark anyway. " jesus, dude. do you have, like, thirteen closets in your apartment or something? " laughter follows almost immediately, making it clear she’s only teasing him. must be nice, she thinks, to have the kind of problem where you own so much stuff you forget half of it even exists. at his question, she lets out a scoff, shaking her head. " have you seen this fucking place? we take everything. t-shirts and stuff are nothing compared to some of the shit people bring in here. as long as they’re in decent condition, you’re good. "
