We might have technically missed Spooky Season but that’s not going to stop us. With an out of character run time of 11/4 - 12/1 KST, Idolize is hosting it’s premier Halloween Party. Hosted by the Umbrella Tree executives eager to get the idols mixing and matching in time for their upcoming Chain Station reveal, idols from all companies and groups have been invited to a very exclusive, very swanky venue in Gangnam. The club has been fully rented out, staff thoroughly vetted, a “black carpet” photo-op set up outside to appease the vicious paparazzi, and the party is soon to be underway. The typical point gains to be expected are outlined below the cut.
+5/5 to any completed (4/4 350+) thread the first time you write with that partner for the event.
+5/5 for the first costume edit you do for your character.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Idolize without a little bit of a twist right?
The twist? A mysterious person has added everyone in attendance to a gigantic Kakaotalk group chat - with your personal, secret accounts. Someone has your information and isn’t afraid to use it. Once the surprise of it subsides, they find they’ve been sent a list of Dares, Nerve style, ranging from tame to properly scandalous, with varying points assigned to them.

for most of the night, haeyeon has been keeping an eye on things. her group members had wandered off a while ago so she allowed herself a little bit of time to herself. haeyeon liked parties, she did, but she also just loved looking at what everyone else was doing. she could have her nights of being wild and irresponsible, but some days she felt a bit bored of it all. many of the idols here were either younger than her or had been in the industry for less time than her, so there weren’t many people with “shared life experience”. that wasn’t to say she was against meeting new people. but sometimes, parties like these made her feel tired and a bit... out of place.
haeyeon had always been better at observing. while she loved performing in front of a crowd, being in front of one when she wasn’t doing her music was not her cup of tea. she had her friends and that was enough for her. she didn’t need to constantly be showing off and meeting new people, sometimes she much preferred to sit up against the bar and watch what other people did. and what a night to do it. already, she had seen multiple fights, more kisses than she could count, and too many drinks put into everyone. there wasn’t anyone there that she hadn’t been entertained by.
grabbing her drink off of the bar top, she took a sip of the vodka tonic, watered down by the few ice cubes that had been in it in the first place. haeyeon should use the night to let loose, but instead she was being calm and responsible, sipping slowly at drinks instead of downing them. then again, the night still was a bit early; anything was possible with that many possible dares floating around. haeyeon used the small straw in her drink to push around the bits of ice that were left, her eyes scanning over the dancing crowd. she should probably join in on the fun at some point. she didn’t want people to think that she was ignoring them. “after this drink,” she thought to herself, finishing off the last few drops before turning to order a new one.
haeyeon turned around with her new drink in hand, surprised to see someone approaching her hesitantly. this wasn’t an idol she knew. her face was sweet and she looked a little bit shy, but the closer the girl came, the more haeyeon could make out her face. it was one of the honey girls, that she knew, but her name escaped her. apparently it was dare time and haeyeon was the lucky one who got to endure it. she took a deep breath and took a rather large sip of her drink, before looking at the girl who had now stopped in front of her.
“hi there,” haeyeon said, a hint of a question in her voice. who are you? what do you want? are you intimidated by me or are you just normally this nervous? she forced a soft smile onto her face to look less scary. “are you here for a dare?”
with @idxnoah at the halloween party, late, a bit tipsy
jiyeon is not looking for trouble, but trouble finds her anyway.
it finds her in the form of those godforsaken dares. serating dahyun? no problem. singing a duet with taeho? easy. dancing on a table with jowi? she could do it forever. but jiyeon has this problem, this little problem, that she needs more and more of her instant gratification. it’s go big or go home with yoon jiyeon, and while doing the tame things is nice and all jiyeon doesn’t know her limits.
( lies, she does know them, she doesn’t care about respecting them. )
she is a bit tipsy, not drunk to not know what she is doing – although of course she will use it as an excuse to her manager later on – but with the sort of calm, bubbly happiness that alcohol brings her in the earlier stages of drunkness. so in her mind it sounds like a good idea to look at those red dares and see what she can do.
she should never be left alone, unsupervised, at a party.
calling someone who’s id she doesn’t know sounds like a good idea in her mind because why not? she is an actress, she can act her way through a call and collect those points and eventually win whatever it is to win. ( this sounds very much like a scam, like they all will do these things and in the end they’ll win a blast on dispatch – but does she care? no. the answer is always no. )
there are many ids she doesn’t recognize, jiyeon is not the most sociable person and she prefers to keep her contacts on the shortest end of the scale. no need to pretend to be a social butterfly when most people bore her to death. she chooses one at random and deals, walks until she is hidden in some corner next to the bathrooms so can hear the other person over the music.
when he, it sounds like a he, picks up jiyeon feels excitment take over her. “tell me,” she starts, hears the noise and the breathing over the other side and looks around, but doesn’t see anyone holding a phone. “how easy would it be to get you naked tonight?” she asks, not interested in small talk. this is a dare and jiyeon doesn’t have time for anything but what she is supposed to do.
@idsooyeon, halloween party, early in the night, status: mostly sober ( event )
he should be having fun. it seems to be the whole theme of the night. everyone funneled into the same building. co-mingle under an umbrella (ha) of an excuse. no fans, pictures banned, managers for the most part gone and a bar lined with drinks. another in san’s hand. the condensation’s sweat enough to stick at his palm, the edges of a too-large sweatshirt now damp.but he just shoves it up near his elbow whenever he notices, despite it’s slow and perpetual creep downward it continuously makes. that’s what he gets for wearing a non-costume that’s three times too big.
he should be having fun. he just turned twenty-five. but the entire day was spent shut in his apartment with jowi next to him getting progressively drunker in between sugar spikes. not that he’s deviating far from that now. there are just more people involved. he takes another drink, continues his slow-winding laps around the crowded club as he tries to pick out his friends among the masses. it’s apparently a shame most of his friends consist of short girls with dark hair.
he stops when he spots an outlier, his tall friend with dark hair.
“im sooyeon,” he calls it out, voice catching over the bass that they’re all currently drowning in. she looks to be in the same mood that he is -- not thrilled, and not drunk enough. never one to pry, he decides to go with his gut, tosses out a “we should drink.” he tosses back the rest of the one in his hand to give himself a greater excuse to feed his budding problem with alcoholism.
he catches sight of an empty table, gestures instead of talking, a request for her to go claim it before he’s back at the bar. orders too many drinks before he falls down at her side. shoves his hood down and quirks a brow. “so why’re you in such a shit mood, or is that part of your whole...” he pauses, wraps his fingers around a shot glass, waves his fingers in the air. “look,” san finishes it off with a shrug before he tosses the shot back.
