OKAY so basically people diss on the Wembley components sm ‘they look the same’ ‘no personality’ ‘idk who’s who!’ , but the thing is , Electra and their components ‘are the future’ , that is their leading thing ‘clear my track I am the future’ , and the thing is , back when starlight was first staged , modern in their eyes was BIGHT , FLASHY and in general in your face :exhibit a

OG Electra was in your face , but now in the revival , basically what the designers said ‘well what is modern now??’ And that is stuff that is the same with tiny differences (millennial decor and housing [greys and bland stuff]) , and if we carry it to the components we see that so clearly , just the different shoulder pads and different lettering on their belts

Anyways we see Volta and Killerwatt just have a separate name and shoulder work going on , like the others , and this is what ‘modern’ is ! And slade being around 30-40 (some sources say 35 but others say closer to 40) , so she is going to do the ‘millienial’ take on it , it looking the same with tiny unnoticeable differences , so when ppl say the components are made badly it hurts bc you have to see the PoV of the costume designers , bc they where trying to make a production that was already ‘modern’ with characters that where ‘they are the future’ !!!!

But personally I find the engines a lil hard to defend (I can 100% tho) bc they are the ‘champions’ and they should have more going on honestly , but I love them the same !!

(Sorry this rant was not a lot , I’m pretty tired rn and I know I can write more but I’ll do that later if you would like <33)

I’m not trying to argue at all, but the whole futuristic thing doesn’t really solve the issue of the Wembley components all looking the same aside from small details that are hard to notice when they are speeding past you. You could tell the original components apart, and sure they were in your face, but you could tell them apart during the races and that is near impossible with this current designs. Different accent colors, or small changes (different hair styles, signature accessories, etc) could help with this problem a lot!

(I might be a little biased because I heavily dislike how Wembley really likes to reuse silhouettes for characters. I’m aware that the Nationals share a silhouette, but their colors and mannerisms make them stand out. The components are recognizable from silhouettes alone, same with the freight (except for the Rockies but that’s their whole gimmick))

Guys I really know I shouldn’t be promoting this , but would ANYONE have a 2024/2025 slime tutorial for the German cast for starlight ? Specifically with the primary cast (I love the swings don’t worry , I just rlly wanna see Jamie as Electra , their high notes r to DIE for !!!!!) I’ve spent the last hour crying over the fact they are leaving and realised I only have megamixes of the cast </3 (please dm or comment if you do !! It will be the best thing ever !!)

Guys why does no one talk abt how genuinely cool the Bochum Electra is ??? They’re Mohawk is that LED light wire things , which I think is so smart bc electricity is conductive THROUGH WIRES ?!??!
