What if Reigen was one of the Claw higher ups but he still didn’t actually have powers? Since he’s good a reading people, we go with how you said that others think he is a telepath lol Toichiro will probably catch on but that’s what makes it even funnier. When the boss starts having suspicions/found out, Reigen already proved himself to be useful to the team. Giving him minor powers probably makes more sense narratively but this is more of something for the pure amusement of it. Plus an off topic bonus: How would Reigen and Serizawa interact in your au?

I’m still fleshing out the idea in my head, but do imagine him im as an esper just bc I don’t think toichiro’s ego would let him rely on an non esper 😅 even if he is a weaker one. i do think he would still lead people to believe he’s a dual type of sorts to keep his place among the ultimate which toichiro would figure out fairly quickly but decided to ignore just to get out of the work he gives to reigen.

I’m putting reigen in a more administrative position than the others since I think that’s where he would shine ✨and since I don’t think any other claw member is actually good at talking to people😅 elevated egos and all that.

With serizawa, I think they would get along! Serizawa respects Reigen because of his confidence and genuine kindness +his closeness to the prez and for Reigen, Serizawa is probably the only member he talks to the mostly due to serizawa’s bodyguard status forcing him to interact with the him since he would try to evaded other psychics the best he can, he also has a soft spot for awkward people what can i say(i also like to think there’s a mutual crush neither is willing to acknowledge) sorry for rambling on you but thank you for asking!

Working on commissions so have some doodles! My what if reigen was esper au mostly based on what if he actually was a claw higher up when we appeared in the 7th division. its a weird idea with so many plot holes ❤️
