Ahem… So Mewnians DO have a legitimate reason to fear monsters? Some monsters are inherently a threat? I thought Mewnians’ fear of monsters was based on racism, and let’s not forget Mewnians are the colonizers who drove away the native monsters for their own profit. This goes against everything the show told us so far

also, if the monsters are supposed to represent poc (aside from the racism of making the poc stand-ins monsters), the way that globgor and eclipsa’s marriage is presented is extra yikes now. the last time i watched svtfoe, eclipsa was seen as weird for wanting to marry a monster (‘why would you want to marry a poc?’)
Nah that’s the point. People on the kingdom of Mewni are super racist against monsters and Star the White Savior is trying to change that. Eclipsa wasn’t just seen as weird. She was depicted as being completely evil. But that’s a deliberate plot point that they now seem to be running into the ground.

This reminds me of a very early Star Vs. Episode where Star was trying to teach a monster how to be well-behaved, but he kept falling into his bad monsterly habits,,, which is yikes enough, but apparently its common for monsters to eat babies which is what the monster did? Hm.
