[ Important Notice of Reboot Under the Cut ]

I'm really sad about this but I've been trying for months now and my AU Neal just isn't cooperating. To make him happy I'm gonna do some changes. We're dropping all the threads we're currently running except for one or two. (If I answer our thread and you're no longer into it though, feel free to disregard it!) Also if you'd like to talk to me about our thread, feel free to drop me an ask.

I'll be rewriting his story a bit. His main verse will probably no longer tie in to canon and he may be even more AU than he already is. (If that's even possible lol.) One of the most notable details will be: He isn't Henry's father by default anymore.

I am also considering merging this account with my teen!Bae acct: baebyfire. That decision isn't final yet though.

There'll be more but mainly the idea is that he will be even less canon and a bit more OC.

i feel u re: character destruction. after a certain point i really just say "fuck this" and do my own thing, because imo, our individual creativity is more important than any aspect of canon

/ mte. thank you yes i'm glad to know somebody else thinks this way. that's basically what's keeping me from taking neal out completely.

     Glinda couldn’t avoid to look down, a smile never leaving her lips. “Well.. actually I have been looking for you” she finally admitted. “I wanted to check if you were alright you know, I’ve spent years stuck in the Enchanted Forest and like I said, things are rather calm in Oz now” she smiled. She took then his arm gently. “I’m not leaving for now, I hope it’s not a problem for you” she said then looking up at him. it wasn’t necessary to leave so early after all, some time away wasn’t going to hurt her, right? She followed him looking around curiously. “How is this place called? It’s beautiful..”

"Me...?" Neal echoed, pleasantly surprised. He listened to her state why, taking slow steps as their arms interlocked. That anyone would go so far to check up on him was nothing short of remarkable. He glanced sideways at Glinda, hoping it wasn't evident in his expression just how touched he was by what she said. He wanted to ask her more about being stuck in the Enchanted Forest but he decided to touch that subject later on.

Smiling proudly, he follows her gaze. Neal always felt a silly attachment to Earth and the modern world. It wasn't without its numerous flaws-- like any world-- but it had more than its fair share of stunning sights. "This place is called Central Park. It's really huge and has a lot of sub-sections. If I remember correctly we're currently in the area called, The Mall." He explained, turning to Glinda to watch her face as she looked about, "I make a point to go to this park whenever I've got time off work. It's-- relaxing."

"Sure why not?" she nodded as if she needed him to agree even more. A wide grin had settled upon her lips and she immediately started to walk, crossing her arms in front of her chest as she started to warm herself up. Which wasn’t that hard. "I am always full of amazing ideas," Lily mentioned while wiggling her eyebrows. 

Lily actually enjoyed the silence. It made her feel relaxed for some reason and she could look around of herself without having to pay attention to Neal. It wasn’t until she heard his voice again that she furrowed her eyebrows together. “My last name? I have told you that once, indeed,” Lily cleared her throat while she turned her head, studying the man beside of her. “I don’t know my last name. Remember?” she raised an eyebrow. As if she tried to empathize her words by that gesture. 

Surely it was seconds later that Lily suddenly turned and pressed a key in one of the doors. “Do you want something to drink?” better was to just ignore their previous conversation and continue. Lily did not feel to dwell over her past, especially not with alcohol in her system.

"Ah. Must be why I don't remember it then," He cocks a brow, not doing a good job of sounding sorry for making such a mistake. Neal somewhat realizes how insensitive he sounded though, even as drunk as he was, "Sorry. My bad."

He abandons all attempts to be conversational after that and they arrive at Lily's place in what he thought was an even more strained silence. There was a reason he didn't have too many close friends, he thought. He'd gone to this place without the intention of getting attached to people, but that wasn't doing him a lot of good. It was hard not to feel guilty for not being friendly or for not remembering important things about people who were nice to him.

"Uh no. No thanks," He answers quickly. But then he noticed his throat was parched so he changes his answer, "On second thought-- water, maybe? I could help you get it though, if that's alright with you."
