F’s read: 😳 I almost finished this book in one day, the only reason I didn’t is because I wanted it to last longer. The story is a breath of fresh air, it’s real and gritty and not a New York fairy tale. This period of a woman’s life is rarely chronicled, and if it is it’s normally about finding “the one” 👎🏻 I think Tess is a kickass character and shows that women can be just as dark as men. I haven’t read a contemporary novel that shows the connection between being taken seriously and being a 22 year old woman; the trials you go through to realize what your worth and that it’s totally up to yourself.The phrase “I don’t know about you but I’m feeling 22” comes to mind but in a minor key, about to have a mental break down and loaded with self doubt. If you haven’t read this book go pick up a copy you won’t be disappointed… . .
