Stargazers (Cole x Tara) Lore ✮⋆˙
Cole ( @cgway17 ) and Tara ( @idrewastar )
One day, Cole slipped into Potions class late and earned a quiet reprimand from the professor. Tara noticed him at once. Scars traced across his skin, striking, almost beautiful, yet heavy with stories she could not begin to understand.
From that moment on, she found herself searching for him without meaning to, stealing glances across the classroom, quietly wondering what new marks he might carry with him that day. It was clear that she fell for him first, yet she never quite had the chance to know him personally.
Until one day, in Herbology, professor Garlick asked the class to pair up for an assignment. Tara didn’t hesitate, she took it as her chance to finally approach him. Cole looked a little surprised, but he went along with it and worked with her without any fuss.
Tara knew exactly what she was doing. Every step was deliberate, carefully planned, from the soft praises she offered over the smallest things to the subtle, suggestive undertones in her words.
Tara: So what’s your secret? How do you make Fanged Geranium so behave?
Cole: Patience. And not rushing it.
After that day, Cole seemed to notice her. And Tara didn’t stop. In class, she kept finding small ways to reach him: star-shaped stickers left on his things, dried flowers tucked into the pages of books he’d left open between lessons. At first, he thought it was all just coincidence but kept all of them anyway.
One of the note she left it for him said:
“Even a small star shines in the darkness”
From Cole’s point of view, he had never believed himself to be someone worth noticing, much less caring about. So when Tara’s attention found him, it only left him a big wave of confusion.
What Cole knew about Tara was that she loved Astronomy, and she spent more time than anyone else in the Astronomy section of the library. He happened to find her there, curled up in a chair, completely absorbed in something she was working on.
His presence caught her off guard. She told him she’d been looking for a place where the stars could be seen clearly at night. So he mentioned a spot near Loch Maree, somewhere the sky opened wide and untouched. And when she heard that, she simply asked him to take her there.
Cole was too well-prepared. He arrived early and even brought along hot cocoa. As they walked together, the distance between them seemed to be closer and closer. And little by little, they began to open up to each other.
Cole: I don’t think people usually do.
Tara: That’s their mistake.
After that, they would sometimes walk to class together, their hands brushing just enough to make their hearts skip a beat. And then Cole decided to lace his hand into hers, and she didn’t flinch or shake it off.
Cole left her a note, asking her to meet him by the greenhouse stairs if she wasn’t too tired. Together, they returned to the same stargazing spot as before, only this time, they were closer than they had ever been.
They sat down on the grass, quietly taking in the night, the stillness, and the stars above. And then began their conversation again.
Cole: I didn’t think you’d look twice at me. Let alone… sit beside me like this
Tara: I didn’t look twice, I looked once. And couldn’t look away.
As if pulled by something unseen, their foreheads met first. They lingered there for a moment, eyes locked in quiet understanding. And then, Cole leaned in and kissed her and she didn’t pull away.
Cole: Can I… Can I kiss you again?

Thank you for reading all the way to the end, and for giving them so much love.
After being on Tumblr for a few months, I think it’s finally time to introduce their lore to you all!💙💙💙
This wouldn’t have been possible without Nia ( @mavenantonia ) I’ve relied so much on the pieces she wrote for us, and I’ve decided to adopt them as the main lore for this pairing.
Thank you so much to both Nia and Cole, I love you guys💙💙💙
