idxchanyeolâ:
Chanyeol approaches, raises a hand and taps knuckles on wood. âAnyone in there?â He calls out, leaning back on his heels and shoving his hands into pockets. âAm I interrupting something? I can come back later.â
It was an ongoing joke in the Acosta household that Jia loved Chanyeol more than she cared for her cousin Doyoon. Admittedly, she and Doyoon had not really met until she moved to Korea ten years ago, but he was, in a lot of ways, like the big brother she never had. She had supported POIZN ever since he debuted with them, buying all the albums, showing up to concerts her Catholic parents would not have let her near were it not for her promise that she was there just to support her cousin. However, when the question first popped up about who her bias was in POIZN, it was not her cousinâs names that slipped her mouth, but Chanyeolâs.Â
Given the chance, normally quite Jia could go on for hours about Chanyeol. Did they know he wrote lyrics for the group? Did they catch his appearance on Hit the Stage? He danced and rapped just like her, how cool was that? Yes, Doyoon also rapped, but in all honesty, Chanyeol had probably also led to her honing her rapping and dance skills. It was fairly impressive how much he had influenced her life as an idol considering Doyoon refused to let her meet him for years. It wasnât until she had debuted that she had finally managed to catch him, against Doyoonâs wishes. Tongue tied, she had stared at him for a full minute before introducing herself. Future interactions had gone better, but she still blushed every time she spoke to him. He was such a charming man, it was unavoidable. Clearly, the panns were exaggerated and Doyoon had told her as much. Of course POIZN couldnât be that messed up.
Jia stood up quickly, blood rushing to her face as she heard Chanyeolâs voice. She thanked god her stylist had already done her make up, but hoped her high heeled boots would be off putting. Her height still made her a bit insecure, even as an adult. Apparently, boys were often offended when you were taller than them. She cleared her throat and plastered a smile on her face. âChanyeol-sunbae? I didnât expect to see you here. How are you?â She looked around her and picked up a bag of cookies given to her by a fan. âWould you like a snack?â she asked, extending the bag to him.
