down time.
jueunid·:
her free hand rose to her chin, taking up a thinking pose, “hm, well do you want the usual work details or regular life details first?” truth be told she didn’t think her life had enough details in it to be interesting but he always managed to make her feel like it was.
woosung let himself smile when jueun laughed, the feeling coming easy to him around her. there was no doubt that jueun was one of the people he was most fond of, one of his closest friends both within and outside the industry. she was always so comforting, easy to talk to and trust, and he knew she was someone who understood him— if not entirely, then at least better than most. in another world, maybe he would have had a crush on her, pretty and friendly and warm. but here, they were just close friends, and that was satisfying enough for woosung.
he felt pride bloom in his chest when jueun said she had watched all of his performances, and he reached out to catch her hand as she pulled her arm back, giving it a quick squeeze before letting go. woosung had never been one for physical affection, didn’t know how to express his feelings in such a way, but he knew jueun would appreciate the gesture, no matter how small. “i watched yours too,” he replied, leaning forward excitedly. “you’re such a good dancer, i don’t even think i looked at the other members of your group. no offence to them, of course.” he let out a small laugh, tucking his legs up towards his chest and moving to sit more upright.
he reached a hand up to tug at his hair, tilting his head as he looked at jueun. “did i look okay, though?” woosung asked jueun, feeling the usual self consciousness creep in. he wasn’t trying to look for attention or compliments— he trusted jueun enough to be honest with him, even if the answer wasn’t what he wanted to hear. “i already stand out enough because i’m tall, but with my blonde hair…” he shook his head before he could get too far into his thoughts, letting out a breath. friendship was a two-way street— it would be rude for him to make this conversation about himself.
woosung rested his chin on his knees, wrapping his arms around his legs. “i want all the details,” he said, genuinely curious. it had been so long since he’d spoken to jueun— there was so much to catch up on. absently, he made a mental note to try and talk with jueun more. “but life details first. we have the same job, so i know what work is like.”
