That’s okay! I don’t know what I’d do with them.

Although this picture made me think of a clover crown.

Do you make small bottles with them though? What I mean is I think these’d make great little things to make!! Charms and crowns…

I’d like to but I don’t have the know how to do it just yet, so right now they are just pressed in some books. Maybe the base for the crown could be something more stable and then put the pressed clovers on to it?

Heh heh I was debating adding commentary when I saw this earlier but I didn’t know if it was rude or not…

I’m not sure about bottle charms (I generally work with sand and glitter, not organic things), but those pressed clovers definitely look like they could be made into glass pendants. You’ll need some glass covers like these, and then a pendant setting and background of your choice to glue them to. A lot of places sell the two together, but if you’re getting bigger quantities or a variety of sizes you might have to buy them separately. I see packs of these at Jo-Ann Fabrics, and I’m guessing most other craft stores would carry them as well. (If there’s no craft stores near you, search “blank glass cabochon” and you should find some sellers.) You could probably set the resulting pendants in a crown, either by building it around them or gluing them to it, but I also don’t really know anything about crowns so I can’t say for certain.

If money isn’t a big issue and you don’t mind measuring lots of sticky stuff out, you could also try making them into epoxy resin pendants. You’ll need a bottle of resin and a bottle of resin hardener, and then you should have a plastic mold to pour them in. You may also want to buy some resin dye, just to give them a nice tint (Careful with the pouring, though, if you put too much in it’ll be too dark to see your inclusions!) Resin also takes a while to dry, usually 1-2 days depending on the size of the thing you’re making, so you should have a place to put the mold where it won’t get bumped while it’s curing. I just started working with plants and resin last week, and I’ll tell you one thing right off the bat if you go this route: Do not put live plants into the resin! Don’t do it! They’ll either get all soggy and misshapen or they’ll turn horrible colors and then die!

I haven’t tried it with pressed flowers yet, but given that they have the same texture and thickness as paper (Which I have successfully used), I’m guessing it would go a lot better. Resin and water seriously don’t mix, and part of why fresh plants react so intensely to resin is because they still have some water in them. Resin is a lot putzier to work with, but the things you put in the pendants don’t have to be totally flat and the depth gives it a nice 3D perspective.

So, yeah, I guess that’s about as much as I dare add to this post.

If Micheals has some of those glass things that would be perfect cause I have a gift card for them, would you use super glue or regular glue? And now I wish we hadn’t had to get rid of my resin when we moved.

So they decided to mow the park where I pick clovers but I was able to find these, even if some of them are a bit torn up.

New blog

Ok so I find a lot of four leaf clovers so I’m gonna photograph them and put them up here. I also find five, six, and seven leaf clovers. This is just suppose to be a fun blog where I keep track of my clovers and maybe show some of what other people find.
