Information about my Noid OC/Noidsona

Her name is Lyra! She has blonde hair. She's a jackalope variant of Noid [her antlers are shaped like crescent moons] and has a dark blue suit with dark purple on the tips of the ears and yellow dots [representing stars] all over the suit. Her suit has the letter "L" on it. Lyra is a lot more laid back then other Noids, but does have a tendency to get excited when she meets others who share her special interests and tends to infodump. Lyra also tends to get anxious in crowded areas. Unlike most Noids, Lyra actually likes pizza. She'll still destroy it [as she is a Noid] but tends to feel guilty afterwards. However, she REALLY loves destroying NIKE shoes and scratching up LAIKA DVDs and also loves to pull pranks. She looks up to The Noid as a cool uncle figure.

So the California Raisins have two specials [Meet The Raisins and Raisins Sold Out] that are really good [though admittedly Meet The Raisins does have some dated moments], especially Raisins Sold Out. In fact, there's even a Noid cameo in Raisins Sold Out [he's in a photograph on the wall of Leonard Limabean {the villian}'s office, with the implication being Noid once used to work with Leonard, but left. Likely due to Leonard mistreating him as he would do so with the Raisins and does with Lick]. They also had a Saturday Morning Cartoon, but it's 2D instead of Claymation and the episodes are very hit or miss. The episodes I DO recommend are A Royal Mess, You Can't Grow Home Again, The Good The Bad The Broccoli, Lights Camrea Disaster, and Rocket N' Rollin Raisins, as they're actually really good, although not as great as the specials. The raisins also appeared in Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas alongside other Vinton characters but it's a different group then the ones in Meet The Raisins/Raisins Sold Out/the cartoon. Funny enough, The Noid was also going to have a cartoon right around the same time The California Raisins did, but it fell through. I find it interesting and really cool how closely tied The Noid and the Raisins' history are. Sadly, this also means they lost popularity around the same time as well, for reasons outside of their control. Though The Noid does occasionally get mentioned/referenced by Domino's, while the Raisins have just... vanished. I've been meaning to write a fanfiction about that one day.

dude you mega cooked here. i am so sorry for responding so late i've been really busy with school but this is SO GOOD. also i had no idea that the noid was in the background of raisins sold out and i watched it for myself and I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES. i loved watching it too you have truly awakened me to the california raisins i will now absorb them into my mind because the california raisins and noid HAVE to be connected in some way you have 1000% convinced me!!! i'm still so sad about the noid cartoon btw I NEED ITTUHH 💔 its really sad how the california raisins have just been forgotten about though i would love to see them return someday because they are truly very interesting characters!

It started as a crackship after seeing the two of them being very close in that one group picture of Will Vinton's characters, but I have been genuinely shipping Noid with A.C. [lead California Raisin from the specials and cartoon]. Their personalities could not be any more different, but somehow I still think they could work. I can't quite explain why but I think they'd have a fun and sweet dynamic.

It does help that Noid's history is VERY intertwined with the Raisins [made around the same time, same animation studio, got popular at the same time, and then lost popularity at the same time].

And also has some angst potential as The Noid is sometimes referenced in modern Domino's stuff [though they aren't always great about it], while the Raisins have just... vanished. Maybe Noid could feel heartbroken and upset he never told A.C. how he really felt and vice-versa if Noid was the one who vanished [if it's in the Yo Noid 2 continuity]. With this year being the 40th anniversaries for both, I do hope Noid and The California Raisins get SOMETHING [as long as it's good and not stinky AI!].

Genuinely I do not know how I just thought about this, but I came across an image of Zipper T. Bunny from Animal Crossing and immediately thought, about how much of an absolute beauty him and The Noid would be as an crackship I feel like they’re personalities can unironically complement each other pretty well maybe they’re ship name can be: “Avoid the Zipper”.
